  • Patent number: 5598607
Abstract: A closing control and opening free assembly for a hinge connection is mounted within various articles of furniture or implements. The assembly has a mounting element having a circular hole, a pivot member or rotor disk connected therewith, the circumference of which gets into contact with the inside surface of the circular hole, one or more pair of spring and roller positioned in each of recess formed on the periphery of the circular hole or the pivot member, and a brake component. When opening a rotatable section upward, the pivot can rotate together with the brake component, and thus it is possible to open freely the rotatable section. When closing the rotatable section downward, the pivot can not rotate with the brake component. Consequently, the rotatable section is rested at a desired turning position.

  • Patent number: 5355136
Abstract: An analog-to-digital converter circuit is adapted to control the speed of an electric motor. The circuit in one form comprises a low-pass filter receiving an analog speed instruction voltage, a comparator, a microprocessor incorporating a timer, and an inverter that controls the speed of the motor. The comparator compares the output signal from the filter with a triangular wave having a given frequency and a given amplitude. The output signal from the comparator is applied to the microprocessor, which produces a digital signal corresponding to the speed instruction voltage, by making use of internal clock pulses. The speed of the motor is detected by an encoder. The microprocessor controls the inverter in such a way that the difference between the speed detected by the encoder and the speed indicated by the digital signal becomes null.

  • Patent number: 5333356
Abstract: An assembly for controlling turn of a hinge is mounted within one section of a hinged structure such as a laptop, palm-top or handy personal computer. In the assembly housing, there are arranged an elongated pivot, a cylindric plastic sleeve having an aperture for setting the pivot, and a socket having a frusto-conical aperture. The sleeve is usually of a truncated biconical shape and has some slot extends axially to one or other end thereof. The inner surface of the housing bore inclines axially in the opposite direction to the inner surface of the socket so that the inclined inner surface can contact with the other frusto-conical outer surface of the sleeve.

  • Patent number: 5235262
Abstract: A motor control apparatus composed of a first pulse multiplier circuit for multiplying command pulses by a first factor, encoder circuit for detecting a position of a motor-driven object, a second pulse multiplier circuit for multiplying a detection pulse from the encoder circuit by a second factor, a deviation counter circuit for detecting a difference between output pulses of the first and second multipliers, a divider circuit for dividing an output signal of the deviation counter by the second factor, and driving source driven by the control apparatus in accordance with an output of the divider.

  • Patent number: 5047716
Abstract: A magnetic movement detector employing a constant current drive system wherein the consumed power is reduced and temperature increases suppressed, thereby preventing a decrease in the output voltage. A magnetic recording medium is magnetized with a repetitive signal having a wavelength .lambda.. A magnetic resistance element disposed adjacent the recording medium is composed of 2m serially connected magnetic resistance strips which are arranged at intervals of (n-1/2).lambda., where m and n are natural numbers. A DC source is connected to interconnected ends of two adjacent ones of the strips, while constant current source are connected to ends of respective other ones of the strips. An output signal is produced as the difference between the voltages at the ends of the latter two strips.

  • Patent number: 4712366
Abstract: The present invention relates to a denier-mixed composite yarn containing 20 weight percent or more coarse filaments whose single filament fineness is 3 deniers or more and 5 weight percent or more fine filaments whose single filament fineness is 1.5 denier or less. Part or all of the coarse filaments are of non-circular cross-section, the stress of the composite yarn at 10% elongation is 2.5 g/d or less, and the composite yarn has a particular distribution of elongation. According to such denier-mixed composite yarn, superior dry feel fullness and softness can be imparted to woven and knit fabrics.
