  • Publication number: 20060236040
Abstract: A case occurs in which a preceding transaction to be retried cannot be retried as a result of snooping. If the snoop result is waited for so that a retry decision may be made after the result of snoop has been obtained, latency is prolonged to urge the pipeline to have a variable length, thus complicating the logic. A transaction determined to be retried in the phase of issue of a request is discriminated from a transaction in course of issue and when a transaction representing a starvation protection object sequentially competes twice with the transaction in course of retry decision, the transaction of starvation protection object is issued to thereby eliminate starvation.

  • Publication number: 20060214585
Abstract: The discharge space defined between the front glass substrate and the back glass substrate is filled with a discharge gas including 10 or more vol % of xenon. A MgO layer including MgO crystals causing a cathode-luminescence emission having a peak within a wavelength range of 200 nm to 300 nm upon excitation by an electron beam is provided in a position facing the discharge cell formed in the discharge space.

  • Publication number: 20060004943
Abstract: Destination registers are provided in a chipset and node information is set in the destination registers. The destination address is selected in accordance with a physical address to be accessed to thereby decided a node provided with a memory to be accessed. The magnitude of the load of the memory access to the node can be changed in accordance with setting of the node information in the destination registers. Optimum node information can be set in the destination registers in accordance with the number of nodes increased and the transfer speed and the capacity of the memory to thereby increase the flexibility and uniform the throughput of memory access to each node.

  • Patent number: 6131432
Abstract: A process for manufacturing a metal foil by effecting rolling with a high efficiency without making any defectively shaped product. A metal foil having a thickness of 0.2 mm or less is manufactured after a plurality of passes of cold rolling by using soft work rolls from the first pass to the pass preceding the kissing pass during which the kissing of rolls is likely to occur, using hard work rolls for carrying out the kissing pass with a reduction in thickness of over 30%, and using soft work rolls for carrying out the last, or the last two passes with a reduction of 20% or less. Judgment is made again as to the likelihood of any roll kissing when hard rolls are used, and the pressure to be applied for the kissing pass is controlled in accordance with the result of such judgment.

  • Patent number: 6026321
Abstract: An apparatus for measuring potential variations in the human body, comprising: a pair of conductors, an attachment patch for attaching the conductors to the measurement sites; an amplifier that amplifies, as AC signals, the potential variations input from the conductors through connecting wires, a transmitter that transmits the amplified signals, a battery that supplies electric power to the amplifier and transmitter, a voltage-divider circuit that divides the voltage applied from the battery, and a compensator circuit that applies a voltage so divided to the amplifier as a reference voltage and, concurrently, rejects DC components input to the conductors, using the divided voltage as a reference voltage. Hence is provided a compact apparatus for measuring body signals such as myoelectric potentials, without restricting the movements of the test subject.

  • Patent number: 5272648
Abstract: There is disclosed a position detection method of a robot which provides two incremental position transducers mounted to a robot axis in interlocked relationship with each other and rotatably to produce pulse signals having the number different from each other in response to a moving distance of the moving robot axis and detects a difference between the numbers of pulses produced from the position transducers to detect the position of the robot. Further, a difference (P.sub.2i) of the pulse number between reference pulses produced from the two position transducers at any position of the moving robot axis is calculated and the pulse number (i) of a next reference pulse from a reference position is then calculated on the basis of i=(P.sub.1 -P.sub.2i)/(P.sub.1 -P.sub.2) where P.sub.1 and P.sub.2 are the numbers of pulses produced during one rotation of the position transducers, respectively, so that P.sub.1 .times.i is calculated to detect a position of the robot axis.

  • Patent number: 4983407
Abstract: A process for producing marmelo wines is disclosed. The process comprises the steps of crushing marmelo fruits, thereafter pressing the fruits to remove marmelo juices, adding gelatin in an amount of 0.1 to 0.5 percent by volume to the marmelo juice to precipitate and remove a polyphenol compound contained in the marmelo juice, and adding wine yeast in an amount of 200 to 250 ppm by volume to the marmelo juice or material in which water is added to the juice for low temperature fermentation.
