  • Patent number: 6501909
Abstract: A first movable barrel is rotated and moved along an optical path by driving force of a motor. A second movable barrel is attached to the interior of the first movable barrel. The second movable barrel does not rotate, but goes straight along the optical path together with the first movable barrel. Inside the second movable barrel, is rotatably attached a lens turret in which a plurality of lenses are concentrically arranged. The lens turret is intermittently rotated in accordance with a rotation of the first movable barrel to set one of the lenses at the optical path. Each lens is set to the optical path at a position where back focus is taken into consideration, so that a focal length of a taking lens is changed. When the lens turret goes straight together with the second movable barrel without rotating, focusing is performed at the set focal length. A magnification of a viewfinder optical system is changed in association with a rotation of the lens turret.

  • Patent number: 6440605
Abstract: Conventional batteries have a problem that, in case the battery temperature should rise to or above a temperature at which the separator melts or flows due to an internal short-circuit, etc., a large short-circuit current develops to generate heat at the part where the separator flows. It follows that the battery temperature further increases, which can result in a further increase of the short-circuit current. The invention has been completed to solve the abovementioned problem. It is an object of the invention to provide an electrode which increases its resistivity with temperature, a method of fabricating the electrode, and a battery using the electrode. Specifically, the electrode of the invention contains a resin which is in contact with an active material or a conducting agent and expands in volume with a rise in temperature.

  • Publication number: 20020053950
Abstract: The invention provides a PLL circuit wherein, even if the duty ratio of an input signal varies, the convergence time required for frequency detection of a frequency detection circuit is short and wrong operation of the frequency detection circuit with a control signal is less likely to occur. A clock generator produces, based on an oscillation frequency clock of a VCO, a first clock signal of the same phase, a second clock signal having a phase delayed by 90 degrees from that of the first clock signal, and a third clock signal having a phase delayed by 45 degrees from that of the first clock signal. A phase detection circuit performs phase control based on the phase difference between the third clock signal and an input signal, and a frequency detection circuit fetches the first and second clock signals in synchronism with the input signal and performs frequency control based on the fetched signals.

  • Patent number: 6381244
Abstract: A plurality of datagram VCCs, each of which is exclusively for connectionless transfer of data, are established between mutually adjacent exchanges in advance, one of these datagram VCCs is assigned exclusively for connectionless data communication and connectionless communication is performed using this datagram VCC. Specifically, an originating terminal disassembles connectionless data into data cells, inserts a cell (a leading cell), which indicates the destination address of a terminal that is the destination of the data, at the head of the data cells and then sends the leading cell to the exchange prior to the data cells. The exchange assigns a prescribed datagram VCC for connectionless communication upon referring to the destination terminal address indicated by the leading cell and thenceforth uses this VCC to transmit data cells having line identifier identical with that of the leading cell.

  • Publication number: 20010049050
Abstract: A conventional battery has a problem that when a temperature of the battery reaches at least 100° C. due to internal short-circuit or the like, large short-circuit current is generated, and therefore, a temperature of the battery further increases due to exothermic reaction to increase the short-circuit current. Also, if an aluminum laminated pack and the like are used as a casing material for the purpose of lightweight and improved energy density of the battery, and if an adhesive agent is used to joint an electrode with a separator to maintain the contact thereof, there is a problem that the adhesive agent intrudes into the opening part of the separator and the opening part area and the hole diameter decrease to bring about unfavorable results for discharge load characteristics of the battery.
