  • Patent number: 7161639
Abstract: A liquid crystal display device contains a coordinate input device on the front side of a liquid crystal display unit. The coordinate input device is of a resistive contact type and includes a first light-transmitting substrate, and a second light-transmitting substrate having flexibility, which are arranged to face each other with a void space therebetween. A first light-transmitting electrode layer is formed on the inner side of the first light-transmitting substrate. A second light-transmitting electrode layer is formed on the inner side of the second light-transmitting substrate. The first light-transmitting substrate is different in thickness at its central portion and at its peripheral portion.

  • Publication number: 20060211463
Abstract: A game system including a stationary game machine requiring an external power supply, such as a coin-operable business-use game machine or a home game machine, and a portable game machine having an internal power supply. Game programs for raising game characters are installed in the stationary and portable game machines. The stationary game machine has more internal resources, and its programs support higher resolution video game data. The portable game machine has a vibration sensor for receiving input during play, resulting in the raising of the character. Each of these game machines are provided with a radio data transfer means through which a game result from a memory in one of the game machines can be transferred to a memory in the other game machine. The game machine receiving the game result can use that result in subsequent processing, such as for a starting point in further play or for creating video data that can be printed on a printer.

  • Publication number: 20050156064
Abstract: A nozzle orifice of a nozzle 1 comprises a tapered segment 16 extending from an elliptical discharge orifice 15 and having a taper angle ? of 30 to 80°, and a large-diameter segment 18 continuing with the tapered segment, and scale on a steel plate is removed by discharging water from the nozzle at a distance between discharge orifice 15 and the steel plate of not more than 600 mm, a pressure of 5 to 30 MPa, and a discharge flow rate of 40 to 200 l/minute. The ratio of the inner diameter of large-diameter segment 18 relative to the minor diameter of the discharge orifice 15 is not less than 3 and less than 7. Also, the discharge flow from the nozzle spreads in a single direction (width direction) within a plane perpendicular to the central axis of the nozzle and the erosion thickness angle is 1.5 to 30 in the direction (thickness direction) perpendicular to the width direction.

  • Patent number: 5603631
Abstract: A plug (2) that includes a plug frame (7) is inserted into an opening of a housing (4) and is retained by a pair of spring-like detent pieces (6) extending into the opening. Projecting portions (6a) on the detent pieces engage recess portions (15) on right and left hand sides of the plug frame. A cylindrical lug (13) is slidably mounted on the plug frame and includes an opening portion (14) and inclined surfaces (17) to permit plug removal. The inclined surfaces (17) serve as cams to lift the projection portions (6a) out of the recess portions (15) when the lug is moved rearwardly. A stopper (3) is insertable into the plug frame to block such rearward sliding motion of the lug on the frame to prevent removal of the plug from the housing. The stopper may include a locking inward projection (3d) for engaging a hole (13b) bored in the lug to block rearward motion of the lug on the plug frame.
