  • Patent number: 7033302
Abstract: In the inner and outer surfaces of the retainer 34b, there are formed recessed grooves 40a, 40a which serve as lubricating oil flow passages for allowing lubricating oil to flow into pockets. Where the axial-direction depth of the recessed groove 40a, 40a is expressed as H and the circumferential-direction width thereof is expressed as 2L, 0.20?H/L?0.97 can be satisfied. Accordingly, it is possible to provide a toroidal-type continuously variable transmission which can prevent the damage of a retainer 34b incorporated into a thrust rolling bearing for supporting a power roller and also can enhance the lubricating efficiency of the present thrust rolling bearing.

  • Patent number: 6474874
Abstract: A comb-shaped cage for use in a roller bearing having one circular portion axially opposed to the end surface of each of rollers and a plurality of bar portions protruding from one or both axial sides of the circular portion and arranged circumferentially opposed to the rolling surface of each rollers is disclosed. It is designed so as to satisfy the condition 0.2≦(I1′/I3′)≦2.5, wherein I1′ expresses the moment of inertia of area for the circular portion relative to a neutral axis parallel with the longitudinal direction of the bar portion and I3′ expresses the moment of inertia of area for the bar portion relative to a neutral axis parallel with the circumferential direction of the cage. This enables to improve the strength of the cage without lowering the load capacity of the bearing to which the cage is assembled.

  • Patent number: 6443625
Abstract: A cage for use in a roller bearing having a plurality of bar portions arranged circumferentially and a pair of circular portions connecting both axial ends of the plurality of bar portions. A circular portion having a larger or equal diameter, in the pair of the circular portions, is referred to as a circular portion, the other of them is referred to as a second circular portion, and it is designed to provide, for example, such a relation as: 0.8≦(I1/I2)≦1.4, and 0.1≦(I1/I3)≦3.0 in which the moment of inertia of area for the circular portion is I1, the moment of inertia of area for the second circular portion is I2, and the moment of inertia of area for the bar portion 7 is I3. This enables to improve the strength of the cage without lowering the load capacity of the bearing to which the cage is assembled.

  • Patent number: 5275087
Abstract: A wobble plate type refrigerant compressor is disclosed which includes a compressor housing having a crank chamber and a cylinder block which is provided with an axial central bore and a plurality of cylinders. A plurality of pistons are slidably fitted within each of the cylinders. A wedge-shaped cam rotor is disposed within the crank chamber to rotate together with a drive shaft. A wobble plate is coupled to the pistons through each corresponding connecting rod. The wobble plate is disposed on the inclined surface of the cam rotor to convert rotating motion of the cam rotor into reciprocating motion to be imparted to the pistons while preventing the rotating motion of the wobble plate. A first bevel gear is fixed on the wobble plate and a second bevel gear connected thereto is supported by the cylinder block.
