  • Publication number: 20190285152
Abstract: The retainer is provided so as to be prevented from being rotatable with respect to the rotary shaft, and rotation of the input-side rotary member is reduced in speed and transmitted to the output-side rotary member through intermediation of the balls which engage with both of the ball engagement grooves. A raceway center line of the second ball engagement groove is formed of a wave-shaped curve. When a speed reduction ratio of the speed reducer is represented by “i”, the wave-shaped curve has such a shape that the balls which engage with the first ball engagement groove engage with the second ball engagement groove at a given rotation angle (?) of the input-side rotary member in a state in which the output-side rotary member is at a rotation angle (i?).

  • Patent number: 9047680
Abstract: As a user inputs instruction to start up content, an initial image is displayed. A viewpoint shift request is made, viewpoint coordinates are calculated according to the viewpoint shift request. Then verified is whether a hierarchical level has been changed in hierarchical image data due to a shift of the viewpoint coordinates or not. If the hierarchical level has been changed, the node of a hierarchical image is extracted from image correspondence data and then a coordinate transform matrix associated with the node is modified. A new elemental image is decoded, each image is subjected to the coordinate transform based on the image correspondence data so as to evaluate the coordinates on display coordinates. Each elemental image is placed on the evaluated coordinates, which in turn integrates the elemental images and updates a displayed imaged.

  • Patent number: 8898802
Abstract: The present invention provides a data management program for performing monitoring so that user data provided to the client cannot be copied and utilized for a purpose other than the intended purpose. When a storage device (8) storing user data (3) is connected to a client computer (12), a management program (4) prohibits writing to all of the external storage devices. The management program (8) makes settings prohibiting usage of a network (7). The management program (4) performs control by acquiring the file name, folder name, and attribute data of the execution file as well as the process name and process ID of the process being executed. The management program (4) has built-in driverware (50) which runs in the kernel mode (15) of an operating system (21) and serves to provide a common interface for the communication of device drivers (35, 36, 42 to 44) and an application program (20).

  • Patent number: 8509485
Abstract: In an information processing apparatus, an external-information acquisition unit acquires external information such as an image, a sound, textual information, and numerical information from an input apparatus. A field-image generation unit generates, as an image, a “field” that acts on a particle for a predetermined time step based on the external information. An intermediate-image memory unit stores an intermediate image that is generated in the process of generating a field image by the field-image generation unit. A field-image memory unit stores the field image generated by the field-image generation unit. A particle-image generation unit generates data of a particle image to be output finally by using the field image stored in the field-image memory unit.

  • Patent number: 8150897
Abstract: In the method of controlling a file system driver of an electronic computer and the program for the method and further the storage medium containing the program according to the present invention, access to a file stored in a storage device of the electronic computer is controlled in a kernel mode. When a specific file in a file system of an electronic computer (11) is accessed from an application program (4), the access is received in a kernel mode (8) of an OS (3). Then, an access control database (36) comprising filenames in the file system and access methods is referenced to judge whether or not the access to the specific file conforms to conditions prescribed in the access control database (36). If the access to the specific file does not conform to the conditions, the access is canceled.

  • Patent number: 8042179
Abstract: A method for preventing a return address from being falsified due to a buffer overflow during the program execution, and for detecting the buffer-overflow beforehand. When the return address is re-written during program execution, the debug function of the central processing unit is used to output an error. The falsification of the return address is detected through the error output. Then the falsified return address is re-written to a value stored in advance to enable the program to return to normal operation. When the falsification of the return address is detected, the executing program is terminated.

  • Patent number: 8027050
Abstract: A computer storing a print control program, the program, and a recording medium containing the program according to the present invention control access from the computer to a printer in the kernel mode. When access is made from an application program (4) to a printer (69), a spooler (65) operates. An access request is detected in response to an event occurring when the spooler (65) operates. A common interface driver (7) controls data output to the printer (69) at a filter (41) or the spooler (65) according to a control condition previously registered in a control condition database (36).

  • Patent number: 7961184
Abstract: A graphics processing unit is provided. A basic model display processing unit generates and displays rendering data based on three-dimensional model information on an object to be rendered. An effect model processing unit performs processing for applying a predetermined effect to a three-dimensional model of the object. A basic model storing unit stores a basic model file which defines a basic form of the object. An effect model storing unit stores an effect model file which describes the effect to be applied to the basic model in order to create a variation form while maintaining the identity of the basic form of the object. An effect processing unit applies the effect described in the effect model file to the basic model of the object, thereby changing the basic model. A rendering unit performs graphics processing for displaying a variation of the object based on the basic model changed.
