  • Patent number: 5039125
Abstract: An air bag device in which an internal acceleration sensor is prevented from operating a main body of an air bag device is mounted on a vehicle. The device is provided with a stopper for interlinking a fixing bolt for mounting the main body of the air bag device on the vehicle with a canceling screw for canceling the state of preventing the actuation of the acceleration sensor. Before the main body of the air bag device is threadingly inserted into the vehicle by means of the fixing screw and is thereby secure, the stopper keeps the canceling screw from being threadingly inserted.

  • Patent number: 4989899
Abstract: A webbing drive apparatus for an automatic seat belt apparatus in which a webbing is automatically fitted around an occupant by driving one end of the webbing which comprises a screw plate with which one end of a wire for driving the webbing is engaged and which has portions for contact with a drum so as to be rotated through the contact portions by the rotational force of the drum. It is as well as moved in the direction of the rotational axis of the drum, whereby the wire is spirally wound around the drum. Each of the contact portions have a bent portion which is bent substantially at right angles with respect to the rotational direction of the drum. The rotational force of the drum is therefore transmitted to the screw plate through these bent portions.

  • Patent number: 4956364
Abstract: The present invention provides a novel nootropic agent which is applicable to senile dementia, etc.As a nootropic agent, for example, TRH (Thyrotropin releasing hormone) is hitherto known but involves defects that TRH is rapidly decomposed in vivo and, in its nature, cannot be orally administered. The nootropic agent in accordance with the present invention comprises as a main ingredient the substance having the following chemical structure: ##STR1## wherein R represents a lower alkyl group. The effect on animals is remarkable and the toxicity is low. Therefore, the compounds of the present invention are expected to be utilized as drugs. When the society is considered to go toward advanced age, a great weight should be put on treatment of diseases in old age and medical significance of the present invention is extremely important.

  • Patent number: 4481982
Abstract: In a jet weaving loom having a frame, a reed holder pivotally movable relative to the frame in the downstream and upstream directions with respect to the motion of the warp threads, a jet nozzle mounted on the reed holder to move therewith and ejecting the weft thread into the shed of the warp threads by the jet action thereof, and a weft gripper secured to the frame for selectively gripping and releasing the weft thread advancing toward the jet nozzle, so that when the reed holder moves in the downstream direction toward a first extreme position, the beating and the weft cutting are carried out, and when the reed holder moves in the upstream direction and comes to a second extreme position, the weft picking is actually carried out, there is provided a weft pull-back device which catches the weft thread extending between the weft gripper and the jet nozzle when the reed holder is positioned in the vicinity of the first extreme position, and holds the same for a predetermined period of time when the reed holde

  • Patent number: 4441531
Abstract: A weft detaining device of a shuttleless loom, comprises a drum on which a weft yarn is wound predetermined times prior to a weft picking through a weft picking means, the drum being constituted by a plurality of separate and independent pieces, a support member on which the drum separate pieces are securely supportable, and a device for allowing the location of each drum separate piece to be movable relative to the support member so that the outer diameter of the drum is adjustable, thereby making possible changing a weft picking length by merely changing the location of each drum separate piece, without replacing the drum with the other drum having a different diameter or using any members to be mounted on the peripheral surface of the drum to adjust the outer diameter of the drum.

  • Patent number: 4413703
Abstract: A bass-reflex type speaker system having a cabinet including a front baffle board, a back panel and two side panels and a speaker mounted on the front panel. A port is disposed in either the back panel or in one of the side panels and a duct is in communication with the port. The back panel may be flat or have a generally triangular cross-sectional configuration where the apex of the triangle is directed toward the speaker. Further, the speaker may be positioned in the approximate center of the front baffle board and the port positioned at the apex of the back panel. A beam may be provided extending across and spaced from the port, the beam having a triangular shaped tip directed toward and spaced from the port.

  • Patent number: 4397340
Abstract: A weft detaining device of a shuttleless loom, including a drum having a frustoconical section and a cylindrical section, a first catching member for catching the weft yarn on the drum in the vicinity of the border between the frustoconical and cylindrical sections for at least a period of weft pickings, a second catching member for catching the weft yarn on the drum for at least a period of the first time weft picking in sequential twice weft pickings and releasing its catching action to the weft yarn for at least a period of the second time weft picking of the sequential twice weft pickings, and a third catching member for catching the weft yarn on the drum cylindrical section for at least a period wherein the detaining of the weft yarn for the succeeding twice sequential weft pickings is completed, thereby enabling a so-called dual-pick pass weft insertion though the weft detaining device is of the drum type.
