  • Patent number: 6971152
Abstract: A method of expanding types of synchronous motors capable of reducing the number of required stator types to use stators in common, and a synchronous motor produced by the method. A group of stators are prepared by stacking stator cores of identical shape so that heights of the stators are different from one another to be multiples of a fundamental height. A plurality of groups of rotors are prepared so that lengths of the rotors in each group are different from one another to be multiples of a fundamental length. The rotors in each group are provided with permanent magnets having a residual magnetic flux density different from that of the permanent magnets for the rotors in the other groups. A stator and a rotor corresponding to a preset output torque specification value and a preset rotor inertia specification value are respectively selected from the group of stators and the rotor groups and are combined with each other, whereby an expanded type of motor is obtained.

  • Publication number: 20050153189
Abstract: A solid oxide electrolyte material comprising an electrolyte material 50 using oxygen ions as carriers as a base material and a lithium-containing compound 60 added to the base material as a sintering additive is sintered at a sintering temperature of 1300° C. or lower to produce a solid oxide electrolyte 100. This solid oxide electrolyte material can reduce the sintering temperature to extend the range of choices of components of a solid oxide fuel cell and suppress reactions between other components to reduce the manufacturing cost. This solid oxide electrolyte material further can produce a solid oxide electrolyte with sufficient denseness and high gas tightness capable of suppressing fuel leak to improve the electromotive force and output.

  • Publication number: 20050008916
Abstract: A shape and conductivity of a cylindrical porous metal substrate of low power collection losses are defined, and a solid oxide fuel cell of a high output or high start-up performance is provided by using the cylindrical porous metal substrate. In the solid oxide fuel cell of the invention, the cylindrical porous metal substrate which has a conductivity of 130 S/cm or more is used, and a power collecting section is connected to a position which does not exceed 100 cm from any place thereof. A first electrode, a solid electrolytic layer, and a second electrode are formed on a full periphery of the cylindrical porous metal substrate. Thus, it is possible to obtain a solid oxide fuel cell of easy cell formation and low power collection losses, i.e., high durability and a high output.

  • Publication number: 20050005905
Abstract: The invention provides a control apparatus of a cylinder injection of fuel type internal combustion engine executing a dilute combustion, which can satisfy a requirement of rapidly changing an engine torque while restricting a deterioration of a driving property and an exhaust gas as much as possible. In a control apparatus of a multicylinder engine executing a dilute combustion, in the case that a requirement of reducing and changing an engine torque of the internal combustion engine is applied, the control apparatus executes a fuel cut of a predetermined number of cylinders, and controls so that a torque of operating cylinders except the cylinders executing the fuel cut becomes the required engine torque.

  • Patent number: 6829062
Abstract: By changing coefficients of second-order and first-order calculation terms relating to respective hues, and first-order calculation terms in the form of comparison-result data relating to respective inter-hue areas, only the target hue or inter-hue area among the six hues of red, blue, green, yellow, cyan, and magenta, and the six inter-hue areas can be varied, without affecting other hues and inter-hue areas. Thus, the six hues and six inter-hue areas can be corrected independently, and the large-capacity memory is not required.

  • Publication number: 20040164636
Abstract: An electric motor capable of easily obtaining a required output characteristic. Two separated windings are provided for each of phases U, V, W. Connector units A-I for connecting the windings, and amplifier connection terminals AT1-AT2 are provided. By selectively setting connection states of the connector units A-I, an electric motor having stator windings in a star connection in series or parallel, or an electric motor having stator windings in a delta connection in series or parallel is obtained. By connecting amplifiers to the amplifier connection terminals AT1, AT2 separately, and selecting the connection states of the connector units A-I, an electric motor having an output characterstic equivalent to two electric motors can be obtained. Depending on a machine to which an electric motor is to be applied, an electric motor having an optimum output characteristic can be obtained only be selecting the connection states of the connector units.
