  • Publication number: 20100127442
Abstract: An automobile vibration damping device for an automobile in which a power plant in which an engine, a transmission and the like are combined is supported by a vehicle body, including a vibrating means that generates vibration separate from vibration of the engine. Thereby, it is possible to reduce the vibration amplitude of a seat portion by the reaction force of the vibrating means. Also, if the vibration mode of the vehicle body is adjusted so as to become a node in the vicinity of the seat portion, the vibration amplitude decreases in the vicinity of the seat portion, and improves riding comfort.

  • Publication number: 20020025904
Abstract: The present invention provides a catalyst carrier holding member to be fitted into a gap between a catalyst carrier and a casing accommodating the catalyst carrier. The catalyst carrier holding member includes a three-dimensional molded article having flexible inorganic fiber and an inorganic expansive admixture, if desired. The flexible inorganic fiber is bound together by a binder in a compression-deflected state. A surface in contact with the catalyst carrier is shaped substantially in conformity to the outer shape of the catalyst carrier, and a surface in contact with the casing is substantially in conformity to the inner shape of the casing. The catalyst carrier holding member has a thickness equal to or larger than the gap.

  • Patent number: 5462821
Abstract: A novel primary or secondary battery whose active material for the negative electrode is composed of metallic gallium, gallium alloys or gallium oxide has first come into the world.Gallium has an electrochemical equivalent of 23.24, which is smaller than those of zinc (32.70) and cadmium (56.21). This indicates that when used as an active material for the negative electrode in batteries, gallium has larger capacity per unit mass than zinc and cadmium by respective factors of ca. 1.4 and 2.4. The potential of the reaction; Ga+6OH.sup.- =GaO.sub.3.sup.3- +3H.sub.2 O+3e.sup.- is obviously less noble than the voltage of hydrogen evolution and this means that a high-potential battery can be made. Due to the high hydrogen overvoltage of gallium, gallium ions in the solution can be precipitated as metallic gallium by electrodeposition. As a further advantage, no dendrite formation occurs during the electrodeposition unlike in the case of zinc.

  • Patent number: 5029462
Abstract: A method for bending a workpiece into a developed shape between an upper and lower die. The method includes setting up a bending sequence for bending the workpiece from a unfinished to a finished state. The method is accomplished by preparing data for a workpiece shape, i.e. assigning bending points on the workpiece; determining consecutive striking points and bending points; determining preparatory bending points to avoid interference between the workpiece and dies; assigning identification codes for the preparatory bending points, and bending the workpiece.
