  • Patent number: 9339423
Abstract: An absorbent article is provided to prevent pulp fibers and a superabsorbent polymer that constitute an absorbent body from leaking from openings, even if a top sheet does not cover the side wall portions of the absorbent body at the openings. The absorbent article includes: a liquid-permeable top sheet having openings; a back sheet; and an absorbent body having openings. At the openings of the top sheet and the openings of the absorbent body, the top sheet is detached from the absorbent body. The opening diameters of the openings on the clothing side of the top sheet are smaller than the opening diameters of the openings on the skin side of the absorbent body. An opening diameter of the openings on the clothing side of the absorbent body is no greater than the opening diameter of the openings on the clothing side of the top sheet.

  • Publication number: 20150080838
Abstract: Provided is an absorbent article that can prevent pulp fibers and a superabsorbent polymer (SAP) that constitute an absorbent body from leaking from openings, evening if a top sheet does not cover the side wall portions of the absorbent body at the openings. An absorbent article (1) comprises: a liquid-permeable top sheet (2) having openings (10); a back sheet (3); and an absorbent body (4) having openings (10). At the openings (10) of the top sheet (2) and the openings (10) of the absorbent body (4), the top sheet (2) is detached from the absorbent body (4), and the opening diameter (R2) of the openings (10) in the surface of the top sheet (2) on the clothing side is smaller than the opening diameter (R3) of the openings (10) in the surface of the absorbent article (4) on the skin side.

  • Publication number: 20150057627
Abstract: The present invention addresses the problem of providing a novel absorbent article that prevents excessive compression of an absorbent body caused by deformation of the absorbent article, and rewetting associated with said compression. In order to solve such a problem, a sanitary napkin (1) is provided with a liquid-permeable top sheet (2), a liquid-impermeable back sheet (3), and an absorbent body (4) disposed between the top sheet (2) and the back sheet (3), wherein: an extensible area (21) having an extensible bellows-like section (210), and a flexible area (22) surrounding the extensible area (21) are formed in a waste supply area (20) of the top sheet (2).

  • Publication number: 20150018796
Abstract: Provided is an absorbent article which makes it easy to fold wing sections of the absorbent article so as to match the shape of the edges of the leg openings of underwear. The present invention is an absorbent article (1) having a lengthwise direction (Y-direction) and a widthwise direction (X-direction), and including: a body section (10) provided with a liquid-permeable top sheet (2) on the skin-side, a liquid-impermeable backsheet on the garment-side, and a liquid-holding absorbent body (4) positioned between the top sheet (2) and the backsheet; and wing sections (5) extending so as to project in the widthwise direction from both side-edges of the body section (10). Therein, the surface opposite the garment-side surface in the wing sections (5) is configured from the top sheet (2) or from side sheets positioned on both sides in the widthwise direction of the top sheet (2).

  • Publication number: 20150018794
Abstract: Provided is an absorbent article having a top sheet with an opening-formed area in which openings are formed, and non-opening-formed areas in which no openings are formed, said absorbent article being capable of preventing liquid from remaining on the surface of the opening-formed area of the top sheet. In the present invention, the top sheet is a resin sheet having an opening-formed area (12) in which openings are formed, and non-opening-formed areas (5, 14) in which no openings are formed. The opening-formed area (12) is disposed in an outlet-facing area (16) that faces at least an outlet for fluid from a wearer. The top sheet (2) has a blood modifier layer on the surface of at least the outlet-facing area (16). The blood modifier of the blood modifier layer has an inorganic/organic balance (IOB) of 0 to 0.60, a melting point of not more than 45° C., and an aqueous solubility of 0.05 g or less with respect to 100 g of water at 25° C.
