    Abstract: The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition in a form of a film. The composition comprises (a) a butyrophenone compound and (b) a vehicle comprising polyvinyl acetal diethylaminoacetate and polyvinyl pyrrolidone. The ratio of the compound to the vehicle is from 1% to 80% by weight based on the total weight of the vehicle and the ratio by weight of polyvinyl acetal diethylaminoacetate and polyvinyl pyrrolidone is from 1:9 to 9:1. The pharmaceutical composition can be applied to the skin of a patient for a long time and maintain a therapeutically effective blood level of the butyrophenone.
