  • Publication number: 20220146658
Abstract: A biological detection device includes: a transmission unit transmitting a transmission wave into a compartment; a reception unit receiving a reflected wave; a creation unit creating three-dimensional map information on the compartment based on the reflected wave; a specifying unit specifying a position of a reflection source, which is an object having a reflection intensity equal to or greater than a predetermined value, in the three-dimensional map information when the vehicle where a person is seated is stopped; an object detection unit detecting a motion of an object in the compartment based on a Doppler shift of the reflected wave and outputting a detection result; and a person detection unit determining that there is no person at a position at which no person is detected in an immediately preceding detection cycle and which substantially matches the position of the reflection source.

  • Patent number: 7911540
Abstract: In a tone conversion apparatus, a decision-processing section sequentially detects a signal level difference between pixels of an image in a predetermined direction thereof by using the image signal having a first number of bits, determines whether the signal level difference remains within a preset signal level difference, and determines a pixel which has the same signal level as that of an immediately preceding pixel that encounters the signal level difference and is consecutive with the immediately preceding pixel. A bit-allocation-processing section may also be utilized.

  • Patent number: 7819732
Abstract: An image generation system performs a specific pattern determination process of determining the combination pattern of a puzzle block and other puzzle blocks each time the placement of the puzzle block in a display area is determined, and setting an erasing target block when a specific pattern has been formed, and a chain determination process of determining whether or not a predetermined condition is satisfied after the erasing target block has been set, and repeatedly performs the chain determination process until the predetermined condition becomes not satisfied in the chain determination process. The image generation system performs an erasing process of erasing the erasing target block from a game space when the predetermined condition becomes not satisfied in the chain determination process.

  • Patent number: 7559136
Abstract: A press for attaching nuts to pipes has a lower holder (6) fitting in and holding a pipe (60). A basal portion of this holder supported on the rear part of a lower base (2) moves up and down, and its forward portion extends to the front part of a lower base. Lifters (30) bear against and support the forward portion so as to keep it lifted a slight distance. Stoppers (31) bear against and support an intermediate region of the holder to be lifted a slight distance, and also bear against an end of the pipe (60) and retaining it at a prescribed position. A nut feed passage (10) extends in an outer surface of the lower holder from its basal to forward portion, and a nut pusher (14) is disposed in the forward portion. A cam rod (21) inserted in the lower holder (6) has a frontal oblique cam surface (22) for driving the pusher (14) to a nut releasing position (12), and a cam actuating means (25) is for the rod.

  • Patent number: 7414674
Abstract: An entertainment system includes a digital television connected to a number of audio/video input devices. The television and at least two of the input devices support analog legacy communication schemes. The television is adapted to uniquely identify the analog output channels from each of the input devices. Uniquely identifying the analog output channels from each input device enables the television to automatically select the correct device output from among the numerous possibilities. This automation relieves the user of having to manually select the correct analog channel.

  • Patent number: 7374480
Abstract: A method for adding a new game performance to a game wherein players enjoy operating own registered characters by inputting own accounts. The game performing method for performing a predetermined game wherein a plurality of players operates own registered characters by inputting own accounts, has: storing a plurality of characters including a registered character; storing play data of the plurality of characters; determining one character of the plurality of characters instead of the registered character to be a player character of a player according to an operation inputted by the player; selecting the registered character corresponding to an account of the player as a CPU character from the plurality of characters; and performing a fight of the CPU character selected against the player character determined by controlling an action of the CPU character on the basis of play data corresponding to the CPU character.

  • Patent number: 6426779
Abstract: An innovative but easy line guide is provided to provide the user of a multiple channel television broadcast system a wealth of programming information in a simple format that is easy to understand. The guide enables the user to easily select a particular program to watch. In e particular, the system provides an innovative mechanism to enable the user to scan program information of channels that the user has designated as his favorite channels. A button is provided that is designated as “favorite”. When the user is in a broadcast guide and selects the button, the system responds by displaying program information regarding the favorite stations at the top of the guide. Thus, the user sees at the top of the list the current programming with respect to his favorite stations, followed by program information for the remaining stations.

  • Patent number: 6163345
Abstract: An innovative but easy to use on-line guide is provided to provide the user of a multiple channel television broadcast system a wealth of programming information in a simple format that is easy to understand. The guide enables the user to easily select a particular program to watch. In particular, when the guide is presented to the user, the guide covers only a portion of the actual television screen or display. The remaining portion of the television screen continues to broadcast the audio and video of the currently selected program. As a user scans through the guide and moves the pointer from one station to another, the system responds by automatically tuning to the channel pointed to by the pointer and provides the audio and displays the video in the portion of the screen not covered by the guide. Thus, the user can easily get an idea of the broadcast on a particular station without exiting the guide and without expressly selecting a particular channel.

  • Patent number: 5719637
Abstract: A television signal receiver equipped with a picture display controller and adapted for selecting a desired program quickly from a multiplicity of broadcast programs. In response to designation of a browsing mode, many subsidiary pictures are displayed successively under a main picture in a manner to be scrollable in any of predetermined directions. When a desired subsidiary picture is displayed within a cursor, the program being displayed on the relevant subsidiary screen is registered in a bookmark list by actuating a bookmark button switch incorporated in a remote commander. A bookmark is additionally displayed relative to the picture of the program registered in the bookmark list. Then the program thus registered is received and displayed as a main picture in response to an actuation of a jump button switch, whereby any desired one of many broadcast channels can be selectively received with rapidity and certainty.

  • Patent number: 5315392
Abstract: A television channel selection apparatus for use with a television receiver having a number of available television channels. The television channel selection apparatus includes a pushbutton pad having a first pushbutton and a group of second pushbuttons. A television channel list is displayed on the television channel when the first pushbutton is depressed. The television channel list includes channel numbers listed in relation to the respective television channels. One of the second pushbuttons is selectively depressed to specify the corresponding channel number and thus to select the corresponding television channel.

  • Patent number: 5251154
Abstract: In measuring the accuracy of a thread groove of a ball thread formed in a nut by using an electric micrometer, a displacement of one point on each of a pair of flanks of the thread groove is measured along a longitudinal direction of the thread groove, and a pair of measured data sequences are obtained respectively for the pair of flanks. The data elements of the pair of measured data sequences are grouped into a plurality of groups so that each group includes a pair of data elements which are respectively contained in the pair of measured data sequences and which are corresponding to each other. The accuracy in the depth direction of the thread groove with respect to a reference thread groove is obtained on the basis of a sum of the data elements in each group, and the accuracy in the thread axis direction is obtained on the basis of a difference between the data elements in each pair.
