  • Publication number: 20050233509
Abstract: A liquid crystal display device which utilizes an active matrix substrate and its substrate, and which is provided with a novel method of manufacture which can reduce the manufacturing process of amorphous silicon thin film transistors of reverse stagger construction, and an electrostatic protection means which is created using this method of manufacture. In a thin film transistor manufacturing process, along with forming an aperture for connecting the contact hole and the external terminal in a manufacturing process for a thin film transistor, utilization is made of ITO film as the wiring. The electrostatic protection means is formed from a bidirectional diode (electrostatic protection element) which is composed utilizing an MOS transistor connected between the electrode (PAD) for connecting the external terminal, and the joint electric potential line.

  • Patent number: 6952112
Abstract: In this invention, a control circuit (111) controls both the power supply voltage (VDDQ) and the transistor size of the external output buffer to thereby select the lowest supply voltage that achieves the impedance matching with the transmission line (100), to thereby save bus termination by a resistor, thus consequently achieving both the lowering of the power consumption and the speeding-up in the data transmission. The power consumption during the data transmission is proportional to the square of the supply voltage. If the operational supply voltage of the external output buffer is lowered, the power consumption will be reduced accordingly. If the operational supply voltage of the external output buffer is lowered, the impedance thereof will be increased apparently; and at the same time, if the transistor size of the external output buffer is increased, the increased impedance will be decreased.

  • Patent number: 6905321
Abstract: In a rotary pump for a braking apparatus, a discharge trench is formed on an axial direction end surface of a second side plate that forms a mechanical seal. As a result, rotors are pressed back toward a side of a first side plate by a discharge pressure of brake fluid channeled to the discharge trench. Accordingly, a force pressing the rotors toward the second side plate is reduced and frictional resistance is reduced.

  • Patent number: 6783193
Abstract: A rotary pump such as a trochoid pump is composed of a housing and a rotating structure including an inner rotor and an outer rotor. The rotating structure is rotatably enclosed in a rotor space formed in the housing. The rotor space is divided into a low pressure space communicating with an inlet port and a high pressure space communicating with an outlet port by a pair of peripheral seals disposed in radial grooves formed in an inner periphery of the housing and by a side seal disposed in an axial space between the rotating structure and the housing. The side seal is disposed in the axial space not to cover sidewalls of the radial grooves belonging to the high pressure space, so that the side seal is bent by the pressure in the high pressure space to effectively seal the axial space.

  • Patent number: 6749272
Abstract: In a rotary pump in which axial end surfaces of outer and inner rotors is in pressurized direct contact with an axial end surface of a second side plate to form a mechanical sealing, both of the axial end surfaces of the outer and inner rotors and the axial end surface of the second side plate are provided with radial line grinding stripes. Teeth gap portions formed by the outer and inner rotors in mesh communicate with an outer circumference gap between the circumference of the outer rotor and inner circumference of a center plate and also with a shaft hole of the inner rotor through extremely slight gaps formed by concave and convex of the radial line grinding stripes so that contact surface between the outer and inner rotors and the second side plate is well lubricated to reduce torque loss.

  • Patent number: 6738182
Abstract: A signal light passes through an isolator, and is coupled by a coupler with a pump light from a pump light source. Then, the signal light passes through an ASE reflection filter, is amplified by an EDF, and is transmitted from an isolator. At this time, an ASE light having a predetermined wavelength among ASE lights that occur within the EDF and proceed to the ASE reflection filter is reflected and again input to the EDF. By setting the predetermined wavelength to a wavelength on the short wavelength side of an amplification band of the EDF, gain deviation occurring on the long wavelength side of the amplification band can be cancelled.

  • Patent number: 6657147
Abstract: A key top includes a body part having a first width and a flange formed on a lower end portion of the body part so as to have a second width which is larger than the first width. A click rubber is provided on a bottom face of the body part of the key top. The click rubber is elastically deformable such that the key top is vertically moved between an upper first position and a lower second position. A case is formed with a first chamber and a second chamber. The first chamber has a third width which is larger than the first width but smaller than the second width, for accommodating the body part of the key top therein. The second chamber is continued from the first chamber and has a fourth width which is larger than the second width, for accommodating the flange of the key top and the click rubber therein.

  • Patent number: 6594795
Abstract: There is provided a Viterbi decoder which performs an ACS operation in the same order of time-series as branch metrics were computed in a decoding process, and restores transmission information as an array of survivors. There is also provided a transmitting equipment which transmits, to a receiving equipment incorporating the above Viterbi decoder, a transmission sequence that includes a bit sequence obtained by splitting transmission information into pieces having a prescribed word length and reversing the order on the time series after being subjected to coding that conforms to the Viterbi decoder. In a transmission system using such a Viterbi decoder and transmitting equipment, the flexibility relating to the standardization, designing, maintenance, and operation of equipment is increased and reduction in running cost and increase in reliability can be attained without deteriorating the performance or service quality.
