  • Publication number: 20090208601
Abstract: A star wheel H of a blow molding machine 13 constituting a blow molding line 2 as a master machine driven by a motor M is provided with an encoder E for generating a pulse depending on rotation of the star wheel H, and a filling line 3 as a slave machine driven by first to fifth servomotors SM1 to SM5 is controlled by second control means 5 based on a pulse from the encoder E. In the event of an abnormality in the blow molding line 2, the second control means 5 controls the filling line 3 based on a pulse from a pulse generator 5a instead of a pulse from an encoder E, and thus performs processing of a vessel retained by the filling line 3. Even in the event of an abnormality in the master machine, the slave machine can be continuously operated.

  • Publication number: 20090188773
Abstract: A filling system 1 is composed of a supply conveyor 2, an infeed screw 3, a supply star wheel for a rinser 4, a rinser 5, a discharge star wheel for a rinser 6, an intermediate star wheel 7, a supply star wheel for a filler 8, a filler 9, a delivery star wheel for a filler/capper 10, a capper 11, a discharge star wheel for a capper 12, and a discharge conveyor 13, each having a revolving body such as a star wheel. For example, in case an abnormality occurs in the filler 9, a control unit 14 activates a third brake B3, which stops the star wheel of the filler 9 forcibly, while controlling first, second, fourth and fifth servomotors M1, M2, M4 and M5, thereby stopping the star wheel or the like of a unit where the abnormality has not occurred at stopping time of the star wheel of the filler. Even in the event of the abnormality in any unit, each unit is stopped nearly simultaneously, so that the filling system can prevent damage and the like to the unit.

  • Publication number: 20080223691
Abstract: An upstream side wheel Ha including grippers B which do not perform opening and closing operations for themselves, and a downstream side wheel Hb including grippers A each having an opening and closing mechanism are included, and in a delivery position in which both the wheels are adjacent to each other, a plastic bottle 1 is delivered from the gripper B to the gripper A. Here, if the upstream side wheel or the downstream side wheel abnormally stops, control means controls retreating means C provided at the downstream side wheel to switch the grippers A to a retreat state from a use state to make an opening degree of a first and second grip members 23 and 24 of each of the grippers A larger than an opening degree of both the grip members in the use state. Thereby, interference of the plastic bottles gripped by the upstream side grippers and the first and second grip members can be prevented.
