  • Patent number: 11943544
Abstract: An image capturing apparatus includes a determination unit configured to determine a first shutter speed based on a reciprocal of a light amount change frequency of detected flicker and a selection unit configured to select a second shutter speed as a candidate in capturing an image of the object with reduced effect of the flicker. If a third shutter speed is set in advance, the determination unit determines a closer one of shutter speeds to the third shutter speed than the others as the first shutter speed, wherein the shutter speeds being integer multiples of a shutter speed that is the reciprocal of the light amount change frequency of the flicker detected. The selection unit selects one of settable shutter speeds of the image capturing apparatus as the second shutter speed, wherein the one has a smaller difference from the first shutter speed than the others.

  • Patent number: 4753658
Abstract: Disclosed is a coloring material including a rubber having a sulfonic acid group or a salt thereof, which is dyed with a basic dye. The coloring material is prepared by adding a solution of an alkali in an alcohol to a solution of a chlorosulfonated polyolefin in an organic solvent and then adding a basic dye to the obtained reaction liquid, or adding a basic dye to a solution of a sulfonated product of a rubber in an organic solvent, and optionally removing the solvent from the obtained solution.

  • Patent number: 4740549
Abstract: Disclosed is a wipe-erasable ink composition for a writing board, which has good erasability and long-period stability. This ink composition comprises a colored polymer formed by dyeing an organic solvent-soluble resin having a sulfonic acid group or a salt thereof with a basic dye, a volatile organic solvent and, as additives, (A) a nonionic surface active agent having an HLB value of 8 to 14 and/or a cationic organic compound, and (B) a slightly volatile or nonvolatile organic compound.

  • Patent number: 4713083
Abstract: A coloring material comprising a solution of an alcohol-soluble resin having a sulfonic acid group or a salt thereof, which is dyed with a basic dye, in a solvent comprising an alcohol as a main component. The coloring material is prepared either by (a) polymerizing an ethylenically unsaturated sulfonic acid or a salt thereof in water and adding a basic dye to the obtained aqueous liquid of the formed polymer or (b) carrying out said polymerization in the presence of a basic dye, and dissolving (i) the obtained aqueous liquid of the formed colored polymer of (ii) a colored polymer obtained by removing water from the obtained aqueous liquid of the formed colored polymer in a solvent comprising an alcohol as a main component; or, (a') carrying out said polymerization in a solvent comprising an alcohol as a main component and then adding a basic dye to the obtained polymer solution, or (b') carrying out said polymerization in the presence of a basic dye.

  • Patent number: 4623689
Abstract: An aqueous colored polymer is provided, which comprises (a) a homopolymer of an ethylenically unsaturated sulfonic acid or its salt or (b) a copolymer of an ethylenically unsaturated sulfonic acid or its salt with other ethylenically unsaturated monomer, said homopolymer or copolymer being dyed with a basic dye and having a lowest film-forming temperature of not higher than 35.degree. C. The aqueous colored polymer is prepared by polymerizing an ethylenically unsaturated sulfonic acid or its salt, or its mixture with other ethylenically unsaturated monomer by an aqueous solution or emulsion polymerization procedure at a temperature of not higher than 100.degree. C. in a specified amount of water and then adding a basic dye to the resulting polymer solution or emulsion, or carrying out this solution or emulsion polymerization in the presence of a basic dye. The aqueous polymer is useful as an aqueous ink such as an ink for the ink jet recording.

  • Patent number: 4612343
Abstract: A colored polymer emulsion having dispersed therein particles of a copolymer having at least 2.times.10.sup.-5 g-eq./g of the copolymer, of a phosphoric acid group or salt thereof. The copolymer particles have an average particle size of not larger than 1 .mu.m and a minimum film-forming temperature of not higher than 35.degree. C., and have been dyed with a basic dye. The emulsion is capable of forming a film having an improved water resistance and light resistance. The emulsion is prepared by polymerizing a monomer mixture comprising (a - 1) a monomer having a phosphoric acid group or a salt thereof, (a - 2) a hydrophobic monomer and (b) a optional hydrophilic monomer by an emulsion polymerization procedure, and then incorporating a basic dye to the obtained polymer emulsion, or by carrying out the emulsion polymerization in the presence of a basic dye.
