  • Patent number: 7570596
Abstract: A method for evaluating the performance of a wireless LAN (local area network) system having a single access point and a plurality of transmission terminals, which share the same radio channel, comprises the steps of dividing the plurality of transmission terminals into groups in accordance with radio conditions, calculating a transmission probability and a post-transmission failure probability for each group using a transmission rate, an error rate, and the number of terminals of each group, and calculating a throughput based on the transmission probability and post-transmission failure probability. A characteristic value for packet transmission delay may also be calculated based on the transmission probability and post-transmission failure probability. According to this method, the performance such as the throughput and the packet transmission delay can be evaluated in a wireless LAN system even before the wireless LAN system is constructed.

  • Publication number: 20070252004
Abstract: In a network advertisement system, an information processing section includes a module to store, when sales or service operation is conducted for a first terminal, purchase history of articles or services of the first terminal; and a Social Network Service includes an extraction module to extract, on receiving from the module a notification of the reception of the article or service by the first terminal, registered users related to the user of the first terminal. The SNS notifies the reception of the article or service by the first terminal to terminals of the registered users thus extracted. When a second terminal receives purchase of an article or provision of a service on the basis of the notification of purchase information of plural users, a degree of contribution to the sales promotion is expressed by a numeric value for each of the plural users by referring to the shop server and the SNS to reflect the degree of contribution to the affiliate.

  • Publication number: 20060253589
Abstract: The present invention is to provide a media burst control system in a multimedia service using one or more media servers in which the floor is synchronized between the media. A floor management server 30 for managing the floor allocation policy for multimedia is provided independent of a group of media servers 20 for providing media services. The floor allocation policy for multimedia to be allocated to the group of media servers is stored in a floor allocation policy portion 33 and control is made so as to synchronize the floor of the respective media by a floor allocation judgment portion 32. The floor allocation policy portion 33 is designed to integrate for setting the policies set for respective media servers of the group of media servers 20 or to enter the policy for multimedia from any terminal of the group of terminals 10 or a server such as a presence server 40 or the like.

  • Publication number: 20060225117
Abstract: A multimodal service establishing method is provided which is capable of achieving flexible combinations of a plurality of service contents. At least one integrated server is installed between a plurality of terminal devices and service servers of a plurality of types. A session establishment processing unit and service linking processing unit are mounted in the integrated server. The session establishment processing unit establishes multimodal service session between terminals and service servers. After the establishment of multimodal service session, the service linking processing unit provides new service obtained by linking and integrating service to be provided by service servers, that is, multimodal service to terminal devices.

  • Publication number: 20060224665
Abstract: A communication control that holds setting information applied when a communication among a first user terminal, a second user terminal, and a plurality of server apparatuses each supplying service data corresponding to a predetermined service to the first user terminal is established while associating the setting information with the service is provided. The communication control apparatus generates invitation information, based on the setting information, for establishing a communication between the second user terminal and each of the plurality of server apparatuses when receiving an invitation instruction for indicating the control unit to supply the service data on the service to the second user terminal from the first user terminal and supplies the invitation information to the plurality of server apparatuses and the second user, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20050239473
Abstract: A dynamic load distribution apparatus in which resource allocation calculation for distributing load can be implemented by a simple and dynamically flexible algorism. An input apparatus receives from the network administrator the information on location of each base station apparatus or the information on base station apparatus. A load detection apparatus detects the traffic or the number of terminals with respect to each base station apparatus. Fixed allocation resource calculation unit of a resource allocation calculation apparatus 3 performs resource allocation calculations. Dynamic allocation resource calculation unit receives the information on traffic or the number of terminals detected by the load detection apparatus to perform the resource allocation suitable for load distribution. A resource allocation control apparatus sets resources into each base station apparatus based on the information on resource allocation.
