  • Patent number: 7545367
Abstract: In a rotary input apparatus, an operational end enabled to be rotationally operated is provided, an operational input device detects a rotational displacement of the operational end to move a pointer displayed on a display thereof to perform a selection operation of any one of various kinds of selection items displayed on the display and a driving force generating section generates and transmits a driving force to the operational end in accordance with a reaction force pattern when the operational end is rotationally operated, the operational input device setting the reaction force pattern against the rotational displacement of the operational end and varying the reaction force pattern on the basis of an input signal from at least one of an internal of and an external to the operational input device when the operational end is rotationally operated.

  • Patent number: 7315299
Abstract: A joystick input device adapted to be mounted on a vehicle and an operational failure avoidance method are disclosed, wherein controllable operation guides 111 are set in an operational range of a stick 21 that is rendered operative only in a given direction depending on a GUI condition. A stick control computing device 407 stores information related to an operational direction upon judgment of occurrence of operational failures caused during stick operation, discriminates an occurrence tendency of the operational failures through analysis of a history of the operational failures, thereby adjusting a moveable mode of the operation guide so as to avoid the operational failures.

  • Publication number: 20060022808
Abstract: A control unit presents a visual stimulus onto a film adhered on an inner surface of a windscreen glass of a vehicle, and controls the visual stimulus so as to allow a driver to perceive the visual stimulus approaching the driver or receding therefrom in response to detection results of a driving environment detection unit, a vehicle status detection unit and a driver status detection unit. In such a way, visually induced vection can be produced for the driver by the visual stimulus. Accordingly, a drive sense of the driver can be adjusted in response to a vehicle state quantity, a driving environment and a driver state.

  • Patent number: 3997387
Abstract: Apparatus for applying leading tips to a continuous sheet material and then cutting the same comprises a rotatable cut drum, a cutting knife contained in the cut drum and adapted to be caused to project outwardly through the surface of said cut drum at a fixed position while said knife is rotating together with the cut drum, a cam mechanism secured to a stationary member outside the cut drum for actuating said cutting knife, a single position clutch adapted to be rotated in synchronism with the cut drum, a mechanism adapted to be driven through said single position clutch for applying leading tips to the continuous sheet material, the arrangement being such that the continuous sheet material is fed along said leading tip applying mechanism and the outer periphery of the cut drum as the cut drum is rotated and that said single position clutch is energized into its connectible condition at predetermined time during the operation, while said cam mechanism is switched to a cammable condition in which it is able t
