  • Patent number: 6973582
Abstract: An audio signal output device is disclosed in which optical signals are not output when a plug is not connected to an S/PDIF output terminal. When a plug is not connected to the S/PDIF output terminal, a fitting metal part does not contact a detection pin, and a connection detection signal is therefore 12V. As a result, a PNP transistor and an n-channel MOS transistor are both OFF, a power supply voltage of 5 V is not supplied to a drive IC, and optical signals are not output.

Date of Patent: December 6, 2005
    Assignee: NEC Corporation
Inventors: Atsuko Sugiura, Naoya Ishii, Takashi Taga, Toshiaki Uotani

  • Publication number: 20030026188
Abstract: An electronic device is arranged to be of a thinner structure and to provide a sufficient space required therein. The electronic device has a drive for driving a recording medium in the upper part thereof and incorporates a tray mechanism or a slot-in mechanism for inserting and removing the recording medium from the upper side of the drive.
