Publication number: 20230339410Abstract: A support structure for supporting a flat inverter located between seats aligned along the vehicle width direction is provided. A bracket supports the inverter in a horizontal position above a floor tunnel of a floor between the seats in a passenger compartment such that it is spaced apart from the floor tunnel. The bracket has a pair of rear leg portions aligned along the vehicle width direction. Middle parts of the pair of rear leg portions are formed so as to be easily bent outward or inward in the vehicle width direction. When a load is applied to the bracket due to movement of the seats during a side impact on the vehicle, the pair of rear leg portions bend, and the horizontal position of the inverter is disrupted.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 17, 2023Publication date: October 26, 2023Applicant: TOYOTA JIDOSHA KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: Masato KUNISADA, Takashi TAGAITO, Motoyuki TANAKA, Seiji HAYASHI, Kenta KAMIYA, Kohta KONDOH

Patent number: 10919470Abstract: A reinforcement component is disposed in an end portion of an Fr bumper R/F as viewed in a vehicle width direction, the end portion including an outer end of the Fr bumper R/F as viewed in the vehicle width direction. Additionally, an extension projects from an outer end of a front end of an Fr suspension member as viewed in the vehicle width direction further outward as viewed in the vehicle width direction.Type: GrantFiled: January 11, 2019Date of Patent: February 16, 2021Assignee: TOYOTA JIDOSHA KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: Takuya Yabe, Takashi Tagaito

Patent number: 10913416Abstract: A skeleton structure of a front part of a vehicle has a reinforcement member that has a higher rigidity than a bumper reinforcement and that is housed in an end, in a width direction of the vehicle, of the bumper reinforcement. With this structure, passing-through of the vehicle from a barrier during a small overlap collision is suppressed, and an amount of absorption of collision energy by the skeleton member can be increased.Type: GrantFiled: January 25, 2019Date of Patent: February 9, 2021Assignee: TOYOTA JIDOSHA KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: Sosuke Kurogi, Takashi Tagaito

Patent number: 10807645Abstract: A reinforcement member has a load-receiving portion and an inclined portion. At least a part of the load-receiving portion is placed in front of a Fr side member. An end, at an inner side in the width direction, of the inclined portion matches in the width direction of the vehicle with a ridgeline at an inner side, in the width direction of the vehicle, of the Fr side member, or is provided at an outer side, in the width direction of the vehicle, in relation to the ridgeline.Type: GrantFiled: January 29, 2019Date of Patent: October 20, 2020Assignee: TOYOTA JIDOSHA KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventor: Takashi Tagaito

Patent number: 8562034Abstract: An opening-and-closing member drive control apparatus for a vehicle for driving the opening-and-closing member so as to be opened or closed by means of a driving force of a motor after an idling period or an idling section of the motor includes a moving speed detecting member, calculating means for calculating a moving speed changing value, a determining means for determining a sandwiching of an object on the basis of a relationship between the calculated moving speed changing value and a threshold value, a temperature estimating means for estimating a temperature of the motor on the basis of a rotational speed of the motor, detected in the idling period or the idling section, and correcting means for correcting the threshold value so that a determination sensitivity of the sandwiching of the object becomes greater when the estimated temperature of the motor is low than when the estimated temperature of the motor is high.Type: GrantFiled: March 3, 2010Date of Patent: October 22, 2013Assignee: Aisin Seiki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Koichi Hirota, Nobuyasu Bessho, Takashi Tagaito, Shinichiro Noda
