  • Publication number: 20190098593
Abstract: A relay station comprising: a time server that supplies time-synchronized pulse data generated every second; and a symbol counter that counts symbol periods used in communication, based on the pulse data. The relay station transfers an upstream signal to a simulcast controller, by including in the upstream signal a first count value of the symbol counter that indicates a timing when synchronization with the upstream signal is established. The simulcast controller calculates a second count value based on the first count value to indicate a timing of transmission of the downstream signal from the relay station to the terminal device, transfers the downstream signal for transmission from the relay station to the terminal device, with the second count value being included in the downstream signal. The relay station starts transmitting the downstream signal based on the second count value.

  • Patent number: 10104016
Abstract: Provided are a device, a system, and a method in which redundancy is changed in accordance with a line state, and thus the optimal redundancy can be set while the current settings are compared to the previous settings. A communication device measures line quality information from a received packet, and generates a redundancy change instruction based on information regarding a line. In a case where the communication device acquires line quality information for the second and subsequent times, the communication device compares the previous redundancy change instruction and the previous line quality information, to the current line quality information, and sets redundancy. Thus, it is possible to suppress the occurrence of congestion and satisfy a target value of the line quality, and to search for a condition which causes the redundancy to be the minimum.

  • Publication number: 20170289884
Abstract: If any waveform software to be used is determined without taking into account the status of the other end of communication, the communication with the other end may possibly fail. Each of a plurality of radio devices observes its status, which dynamically varies in relation to that radio device, and transmits observation data, i.e., data representative of the observed status to a server apparatus. The server apparatus receives the observation data transmitted from the radio devices. Further, the server apparatus determines, on the basis of the observation data received from the radio devices, waveform software to be used for communications between or among the radio devices, and transmits the determined waveform software to the radio devices. Each of the radio devices receives the waveform software transmitted from the server apparatus and uses the received waveform software to control its own software radio communication means.

  • Publication number: 20160301112
Abstract: Communication distance can be extended in a battery system that transmits states of the battery cells by wireless communication. Each of cell controllers wirelessly transmits measurement result of states of battery cells in cell groups to a battery controller, by using an electric power supplied from the battery cells in the cell groups. The battery controller continuously transmits unmodulated carrier wave to each of the cell controllers. Each of the cell controllers changes an impedance for the unmodulated carrier wave transmitted from the battery controller at a predetermined timing in dependence on the measurement result of the states of the battery cells in the cell groups. Due to this, the measurement result of the states of the battery cells in the cell groups is wirelessly transmitted to the battery controller.

  • Publication number: 20160294508
Abstract: Provided is a method for effectively suppressing packet losses by burst losses without an increase in delay by adaptively or fixedly changing a size of an FEC encoded block even when the number of packets per unit time is small. Each communication device 101 includes a transmitting unit 102 and a receiving unit 103. The transmitting unit 102 has a function of calculating forward error correction (FEC) codes based on the number of packets per encoding time and a value of a burst loss time of a network line. The receiving unit 103 decodes an FEC encoded packet and measures line quality information of the network for transmission to the transmitting unit 102. The transmitting unit 102 transmits the packets at equal intervals for as long as it is required for encoding, and can change a system for calculating FEC based on the burst loss time and the encoding time.
