  • Publication number: 20010030119
Abstract: A key switch includes a base, a key top arranged above the base, a pair of link members interlocked to each other to support the key top above the base and direct the key top in a vertical direction, and a switching mechanism capable of opening and closing an electric circuit in connection with a vertical movement of the key top. Each of the link members includes an engagable end region engaged with the key top. The base includes an inner peripheral surface defining an opening capable of receiving the link members. The base is provided on the inner peripheral surface with protruding wall parts located at positions respectively facing oppositely to the engagable end regions of the link members. Each protruding wall part serves to locally reduce a clearance defined between the inner peripheral surface and the engagable region of each link member when the link member is received in the opening.

  • Patent number: 6280227
Abstract: A plug connector is provided having a mechanism to lock with a mated socket connector and to enhance grounding. The plug connector includes a movable latch having a retractable claw. The claw is received within a corresponding recess in the socket connector in an inserted condition to prevent unintentional removal. The latch is movably mounted within a rigid conductive shell of the plug connector. The latch has a pressing portion that is accessible through a first aperture in the shell, and the claw projects through a second aperture. A latch spring is disposed in the shell to bias the latch outwardly. In an embodiment, the spring is unitarily formed with two free ends that are normally slightly offset from one another. The free ends pass over each other with a slight “click” interference when the latch spring is deflected. At an opposite side of the plug connector, a grounding spring projects outwardly from a recess in the shell for also contacting a recess in the mated socket connector.

  • Patent number: 5530525
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a charge removing device for removing the residual charge on a photosensitive film. The light emitted from an optical source of the charge removing device is selected from the range between the wavelengths which correspond to half of the maximum absorbance in a light absorbance characteristic of the photosensitive film. Since carrier generation does not occur by the light emitted by the charge removing device, the charging ability and the charge retaining ability of the photosensitive film are improved, and the image quality is significantly improved.
