  • Patent number: 5936429
Abstract: An interface circuit and method for transmitting a binary logic signal from a first electronic circuit to a second electronic circuit over a transmission line coupled to said first electronic circuit by a first terminal and to said second electronic circuit by a second terminal. The interface circuit transmits the binary logic signal by transmitting a pulse at a first potential at each falling transition of the binary logic signal, and a pulse at a second potential at each rising transition of the binary logic signal. At other times, the output terminal of a driver circuit is placed in a high-impedance state. A receiver circuit outputs a first logic Level upon receiving a pulse at the first potential, and outputs a second logic level upon receiving a pulse at the second potential. Output of these logic levels is maintained until the next pulse is received. The transmission line is preferably terminated at a potential intermediate between the first and second potentials.

  • Patent number: 5797999
Abstract: In a method for fabricating a solar cell, an amorphous silicon film of a first conductivity type is formed on a substrate, and nickel silicide is formed thereon. The amorphous silicon film is crystallized through heat treatment to obtain a crystalline silicon film of the first conductivity type. Residual nickel silicide on the surface of the crystalline silicon film of the first conductivity type is removed. Another crystalline silicon film of a second conductivity type is further formed on the surface of the crystalline silicon film of the first conductivity type.

  • Patent number: 5786435
Abstract: The present invention relates to a low solvent content-type resin composition, a low solvent content-type coating composition containing such a resin composition as a binder, and a method for coating such a coating composition. The resin composition comprises an oligomer containing an alicyclic epoxy group in a molecule and having a number average molecular weight (Mn) of 300 to 2000, a weight average molecular weight (Mw) of 300 to 4000 and an Mw/Mn ratio of 1 to 2.5. The coating composition comprises such a resin composition and a cationic polymerization catalyst, wherein the content of an organic solvent content is 0 to 40 wt. %. Since the present composition contains a low molecular weight oligomer, the viscosity of the composition is low even though the solid content is high. Accordingly, the content of the organic solvent can be much reduced.

  • Patent number: 5662979
Abstract: A substrate according to the present invention is applicable to an optical disc on which an information signal is recorded. Formed on the substrate are prepits in the form of irregularities which generates a tracking error signal upon detected. The substrate serving as a electro-acoustic transducer comprises a flat surface portion including at least a portion on which a recording layer and/or a reflecting film layer are formed, and plural pairs of prepits formed on the portion. Two prepits constituting each pair of the prepits are disposed at positions offset from a center of a virtual recording track such that the center of the virtual recording track is interposed between the two prepits. The substrate is produced by injection-molding a synthetic resin material having a light-permeability and has a thickness of 1 mm or less at the portion on which the recording layer and/or the reflecting film layer are formed.
