Abstract: A recording medium loading apparatus has a recording/reproducing mechanism fixedly arranged in a horizontal posture, a lid body disposed in a generally vertical posture in front of a main body, and a guide mechanism for positioning the tray, in association with the opening/closure of the lid body, just above the lid body to load the recording medium when the lid is in the open state and at a position where the recording medium is mounted on the recording/reproducing mechanism to be played when the lid is in the closed state, thereby achieving inexpensive, compact and high-quality operating with high reliability without using a motor.

Abstract: A cassette loading apparatus for a cassette tape recorder includes a solenoid unit for controlling various operating conditions of the cassette tape recorder. The solenoid unit is connected with an eject rod through a connecting member and is engageable with a cassette holder and a slide plate carried by the cassette holder. The position of the eject rod is controlled according to the position of the cassette holder between an open position (a cassette eject position) and a closed position (a tape play position) so that when the cassette holder is in the open position, an attracting operation of the solenoid unit is inhibited, but when the cassette holder is in the closed position the attracting operation of the solenoid is enabled.

Abstract: A filter press having a plurality of filter plates so supported between fixed and movable heads of the machine framework that the filter plates can selectively be separated from each other and compressed together to a substantially watertight closure between the fixed and movable heads. A filter medium is provided for each filter plate and is composed of a pair of filter webs covering respectively the opposed filtering surfaces of the filter plate. The filter webs are connected at their one end to a winding device and at their other end to a tensioning and winding roll assembly after having turned around a pair of juxtaposed guide rolls. Each tensioning and winding roll assembly is composed of a cylindrical roll and a biasing element for biasing the cylindrical roll in one direction with the filter webs forced to be wound therearound.
