  • Publication number: 20160170293
Abstract: A projector is provided which can secure long-term reliability and enable high-speed start-up through suppression of local heat generation of phosphor. The projector includes a light source device including an excitation light source emitting excitation light, a phosphor disk on which a phosphor that converts the excitation light into fluorescence is continuously formed in a circumferential direction of the phosphor disk, a motor unit rotating the phosphor disk in the circumferential direction, a light modulation device generating an image light through modulation of light including the fluorescence, and a projection optical system projecting the image light. If the number of rotations of the phosphor disk reaches a predetermined number that is smaller than a target number, the excitation light source is turned on, while if the number of rotations of the phosphor disk is increased after reaching the predetermined number, an output of the excitation light source is increased.

  • Patent number: 9363872
Abstract: The display device includes a light source, and a control section adapted to generate a composite pulse width modulation signal using PWM1 having a first Duty ratio and PWM2 having a frequency higher than the frequency of PWM1, and control a light emitting state of the light source using the composite pulse width modulation signal. The control section corrects a second Duty ratio based on a difference between an expected value of luminance obtained when making the light source emit light using a virtual pulse width modulation signal, which is obtained by combining PWM1 and a pulse width modulation signal having the second Duty ratio, and a setting value of luminance based on the information related to the luminance of the light source, and then uses the second Duty ratio corrected as the Duty ratio of PWM2.

  • Patent number: 8954838
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a system for displaying cells of a table. During operation, the system can receive a sort-and-merge request for sorting the rows of the table using a sort column. Next, the system can sort the rows of the table based at least on cell values in the sort column to obtain a sorted table. The system can then merge a set of consecutive cells in a merge column of the sorted table to obtain a merged cell, wherein the set of consecutive cells are associated with the same cell value. Note that the sort column and the merge column can be the same column, or they can be different columns. Next, the system can display the merged cell and other cells in the sorted-and-merged table. Displaying a cell can involve positioning the cell's value in a visible area of the cell.
