  • Patent number: 7755359
Abstract: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus capable of suppressing noise caused by vibration of a gradient magnetic field coil and improving image quality includes a large number of ferromagnetic shims disposed in a large number of holes formed in a shim tray, and vibration dampers disposed in holes formed in the shim tray to reduce noise generated by vibration of a gradient magnetic field generating coil.

  • Publication number: 20080309343
Abstract: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus capable of suppressing noise caused by vibration of a gradient magnetic field coil and improving image quality is realized. A shim tray 22 is disposed between a static magnetic field generating magnet 4 and a gradient magnetic field generating coil 13. A large number of ferromagnetic shims are disposed in a large number of holes (screw holes) 24 formed in the shim tray 22. Vibration dampers 23 are disposed in holes formed in the shim tray 22 to reduce noise generated by vibration of the gradient magnetic field generating coil 13, which is propagated to the static magnetic field generating magnet through solid bodies and shakes the static magnetic field generating magnet, etc. It is hence possible to secure areas for arrangement of two means, i.e.

  • Publication number: 20060033495
Abstract: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes an upper magnet and a lower magnet arranged oppositely and concentrically, a pair of columns installed over the outer part of the upper magnet and the lower magnet in a vertical direction, and a bed having a top plate on which an object to be examined is placed and which is inserted into a measurement space between the upper magnet and the lower magnet, wherein the pair of columns are arranged oppositely with respect to a central axis of the upper magnet and the lower magnet, a cross sectional area of one of the pair of columns is made smaller than that of the other, and a direction of bed insertion is inclined to the side of the column with small cross sectional area with respect to a line perpendicular to a line connecting the centers of the pair of columns and passing through the center of the pair of magnets.
