  • Patent number: 4977417
Abstract: An electrophotography system for use in laser printers, printing machines and copying machines. The system includes a rototable drum having a photosensitive member which can take a first absorption spectrum state and a second absorption spectrum state, the variation from the first absorption spectrum state to the second absorption spectrum state being made by illuminating it with light whose intensity is above a predetermined threshold and whose wavelength is in a first predetermined wavelength region. Also included is an optical system including a light-emitting device for illumination of the photosensitive member so as to form thereon an electrostatic latent image, the optical system being arranged to directly illuminate the photosensitive member with light from the light-emitting device and further to illuminate it with reflected light from an original picture.

Abstract: Information signals are reproduced from a disc-shaped recording medium which was accommodated within a case. The case has a jacket with space for accommodating the disc-shaped recording medium therein and an opening through which the disc-shaped recording medium can enter and leave the jacket. A lid member may be inserted through the opening of the jacket for covering and closing the opening. The apparatus for reproducing the disc comprises an inserting opening through which the case is manually inserted. A holding mechanism holds either the disc-shaped recording medium or the lid member at an innermost part of the reproducing apparatus and on the side opposite of the inserting opening. A turntable is located between the inserting opening and the holding mechanism. A push-back mechanism includes energy storing members which are urged responsive to a disc insertion operation in which the case is inserted through the inserting opening and into the innermost part of the reproducing apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4150833
Abstract: The disc reproducing apparatus of the invention comprises low- and high-speed belt drive mechanism for playback and forward/backward operations. The latter comprises speed change means which in response to the operation of a feed-forward or a feed-backward button reduces its speed to a medium speed level suitable for searching a desired portion of the record grooves. A carriage on which a pickup arm with a needle is mounted includes a means for selectively seizing the low- and high-speed belts so as to be driven at the low or high speed relative to the turntable. A loop-and-finger arrangement is included to serve as a means for moving the pickup needle between upper and lower positions at a variable speed in response to the selective operation of the belt catch means.

  • Patent number: 4123664
Abstract: An ozone generating apparatus comprises a rectangular waveform current feeding device for feeding rectangular waveform alternating current between discharge electrodes of a discharge tube of an ozone generator so that a constant current is fed by the rectangular waveform current feeding device during a half cycle period to the ozone generator which is equivalent to a capacitor. Accordingly, the voltage applied to the ozone generator has a waveform which changes in proportion to the time period. Such a voltage waveform is ideal for the ozone generator to improve the conventional ozone generating apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4068851
Abstract: Audio/video disc playback apparatus includes a housing, a cover hinged to the housing, a rotor disc mounted in the housing and driven by a motor, and a pressure disc rotatably mounted underside of the cover for providing pressure contact with the rotor disc by the weight of the cover with an audio/video disc held therebetween. The pressure disc is loosely coupled to a mounting attached to the cover by means of a suspension which permits it to disengage from the mounting when the pressure disc comes to contact with the rotor disc as the cover is brought to the closed position so that the pressure disc is self-aligned to the axis of the rotor disc.
