  • Patent number: 6232029
Abstract: A method for the production of a flash fixing toner containing at least a binding resin, a coloring agent, and an infrared absorbent, which method is characterized by the steps of blending a master batch containing said infrared absorbent at a concentration 3-50 times as thick as that intended to be incorporated ultimately in the toner, with other toner components, thereby forming a toner composition containing said infrared absorbent at a requested concentration, melting and kneading said toner composition, cooling the molten toner composition, and then pulverizing the solidified toner composition.
