    Abstract: A video image mixing apparatus which can prevent a fluctuation of a mixed video image by a mixed video signal in the case where a playback video signal obtained by playing a recording medium in a special playing mode and a graphics video signal. When a discontinuity of the phase of a color burst signal in the playback video signal obtained by playing the recording medium is detected, the playback video signal and the graphics video signal are delayed by a predetermined time period and the delayed signals are mixed subsequently, thereby keeping the phases of chroma signals of the playback video signal and graphics video signal equal even in a special playing mode such as a still image reproducing mode or the like. In another embodiment, the mixed video signal of the playback video signal and graphics video signal is delayed by a predetermined time and is generated.

When the grinder has not reached a target grinding point position to finish grindings, force loop drive control means are selected to drive the grinder in order to grind a work by a force control. After a grinding point ground by the grinder has reached the target position, then, position drive control means are selected to drive the grinder by a position control in order to execute precise grindings. A grinding amount in every grinding in a force control area is relatively large and a grinding speed in every grinding in a position control area is relatively fast. As a result, a workpiece can be ground quickly and accurately by the grinder robot.

The gate threshold voltage of the thin film field effect transistor can be varied by selectively varying the thickness of the doped intermediate semiconductor layer. Thus, a plurality of thin film field effect transistors respectively having different gate threshold voltages can be formed on a single substrate simply by forming the doped intermediate semiconductor layers for the thin film field effect transistors with different thicknesses.
