  • Publication number: 20110217186
Abstract: A high pressure fuel pump for use with a direct injection engine having a housing which defines a pump chamber. A port is formed in the housing which fluidly connects a fuel in the passageway with the pump chamber. An elongated valve is movably mounted within the housing between an open and a closed position. In its open position, the inlet passageway is fluidly connected with the pump chamber while, conversely, in the closed position the fuel valve blocks the fluid flow between the inlet passageway and the pump chamber. A circuit controls the deceleration of the valve to reduce pump noise.

Abstract: A high pressure fuel pipe construction for an internal combustion engine, such as a direct injection engine. A conduit for the fuel is open at each end and a ball having a throughbore is slidably positioned over one end of the conduit. A reinforcing sleeve is positioned inside the end of the conduit so that the sleeve extends entirely through the ball. The sleeve, ball and the end of the conduit are then brazed together to attach the ball and conduit together. A double chamfer is provided at one end of the ball throughbore to facilitate inspection of the brazing quality. Additionally, a loop is formed in the conduit and a dampener is attached to the loop.

  • Publication number: 20040195113
Abstract: A novel eyeglasses case can resolve the problems that conventional eyeglasses cases wherein an upper cover and a lower cover are connected at one end using a hinge or the like and the covers are opened by releasing an engagement such as a button or the like provided at the other end, have to be opened by using both hands. A novel eyeglasses case of the present invention is provided wherein a rotating member is utilized for connecting an upper cover and a lower cover and oil is filled in the rotating portion so that the rotation of a rotating spindle of a damper or a spring provided within the rotating member is moderated by utilizing viscosity of the oil so as to allow the upper cover to be opened automatically. Therefore, a user can open and close the cover body freely by one hand.

  • Patent number: 6490994
Abstract: A plasma processing apparatus that allows processing of high quality under a wider processing condition is provided by optimizing the distance between a plasma region and a substrate even in the case where the processing condition such as process pressure or high frequency output differs. A plasma chamber is divided into a lower plasma chamber and an upper plasma chamber. A process chamber and the lower plasma chamber are connected flexibly by a lower chamber bellows. The lower plasma chamber and the upper plasma chamber are connected flexibly by an upper chamber bellows. Since the radioactive species volume is increased when the process pressure is low, the lower and upper plasma chambers are respectively raised. In contrast, since the radioactive species volume is reduced when the process pressure is high, the upper and lower plasma chambers are respectively lowered.

  • Patent number: 6414586
Abstract: A keyless entry system for use with a key for operation within the key receptacle to start an engine. The key is arranged to transmit a first ID code specified therefor when the key is operated within the key receptacle to start the engine. The transmitted first ID code is compared with a second ID code registered in an antitheft control unit. The engine is permitted to start if the transmitted first ID code is identical with the registered second ID code. A mobile transmitter is used for transmitting a third ID code specified therefor along with a command for vehicle door lock/unlock remote control. The transmitted third ID code is compared with a fourth ID code registered in a keyless entry control unit. The remote control specified by the transmitted command is permitted if the transmitted third ID code is identical with the registered fourth ID code. • Patent number: 6222804
Abstract: This invention provides an optical head apparatus that is not influenced by the offset component contained in a track deviation signal and the track offset caused by lens shift control. According to an optical head apparatus of this invention, portions of light-receiving regions of a photodetector for detecting a track deviation signal are used as offset component detection light-receiving regions for removing any offset component from a track deviation signal. With this arrangement, the offset component contained in a track deviation signal, i.e., the influence of a lens shift on a tracking error signal, is removed by using light from the region where all the 0th-order diffracted light, 1st-order diffracted light, and −1st-order diffracted light of the light reflected by the optical disk overlap each other.

  • Patent number: 5999507
Abstract: A lens holder is provided with objective lenses of different types. Rotating the lens holder causes one of the objective lenses to be placed in the optical path of the laser beam. Near one objective lens, there is provided a reflecting element that reflects part of the laser beam directed to the objective lens. When the objective lens is put in the optical path, the beam from the reflecting element is sensed by a sensor. From the sensing result, it is judged that a specific type of objective lens is in the optical path. Accordingly, there is provided an objective lens driving apparatus that includes at least two objective lenses with different numerical apertures according to optical information recording mediums complying with different standards, is capable of switching between the objective lenses according to the optical information recording medium to be used, and further has a simple structure capable of identifying the type of the objective lens selected by switching.

  • Patent number: 5898653
Abstract: In an optical head unit, a shift of a laser beam is corrected by a parallel flat plate such that the center of an intensity distribution of the laser beam incident on an objective lens with a greatest numerical aperture among at least two objective lenses coincides substantially with the optical axis of the objective lens with the greatest numerical aperture. The parallel flat plate is disposed in an optical path of the laser beam traveling toward the lens such that a predetermined angle is defined between a surface of the parallel flat plate and the laser beam. Thereby, optical disks with different recording densities can be reproduced with high precision, without influence of the shift of the beam.
