The magnetic field is generated by an electric current flowing in the coil when the elevator car is vibrated.

    Abstract: An elevator speed governor includes a motion converter for converting a traveling speed of a traveling section of an elevator into a rotational speed; an overspeed sensor for sensing a rotational speed not less than a predetermined speed; and an overspeed detector for detecting an overspeed of the traveling section to stop the traveling section, wherein the motion converter includes permanent magnets supported by a rotating shaft of the motion converter so that the magnets rotate with the rotating shaft. An eddy current is generated according to the traveling speed in an electric induction conductor arranged in a traveling direction of the traveling section of the elevator. A rotational torque is generated in the rotating shaft by interaction between the eddy current and the magnetic flux produced by the permanent magnets.

The brake apparatus includes a magnetic spring placed on a car in the proximity of a pickup of the elevator overspeed protection apparatus such that, when an arm of the brake apparatus is in a horizontal condition, a displacement of the pickup is prevented with a strong attracting force by the magnetic spring, but when the arm is inclined obliquely, the attracting force of the magnetic spring is prevented from acting upon the pickup.     Abstract: A carriage assembly has a carriage provided on both sides with voice coils, a magnet assembly surrounding the voice coils and adapted for causing the carriage to move in the radial direction of a disk, and guide rails for guiding the carriage in the radial direction of the disk. The carriage is provided on a lower portion thereof with first rollers for engagement with the guide rails and at its upper portion thereof with second rollers which co-operate with a biasing members in preventing the carriage from moving upward. Either the guide rails or the first rollers are provided with grooves which prevent the first rollers from moving in the tangential directions of the guide rails. Since the movement of the first rollers in the tangential directions of the guide rail is prevented, it is possible to locate the carriage with a high degree of precision with respect to the disk.

    Abstract: Provided is a reflector oscillating apparatus in which the positions of a reflector and a compensating plate are detected so as to perform positioning with a high degree of positional accuracy (closed-loop control). Further, since the reflector and the compensating plate are driven by a couple of forces, no reaction forces by drive forces are applied to a rotary shaft and a support section, and accordingly, it is possible to enhance the positioning accuracy and to realize a short transient time and a large amplitude. Further, the magnetic circuit is commonly used so that the dimensions of a motor, that is, the height thereof in particular, can be reduced, irrespective of a large drive force. Accordingly, the reflector oscillating apparatus can be greatly miniaturized. Further, by commonly using the magnetic circuit, the impedance of the coil can be reduced, thereby it is possible to drive the apparatus at a high speed with a low drive voltage.
