  • Publication number: 20020007504
Abstract: A new and distinct variety of Hybrid Tea rose plant is provided which abundantly forms attractive deep pink blossoms. The blossoms commonly possess approximately 50 petals each. The buds are large and are borne on straight erect stems. Attractive dark green semi-glossy foliage is formed. The new variety is particularly well suited for forming cut flowers under greenhouse growing conditions.

  • Patent number: 5186126
Abstract: An intake system distributes air into cylinders of an internal combustion engine, which are divided into two groups. The cylinders in each group are arranged in the same row so that adjoining cylinders in each row do not fire one after another. An intake passage is formed with an upstream passage and two separate downstream passages, extending from the upstream passage, which are connected to the two groups of cylinders. The upstream passage is divided by a partition wall into two separate upstream passages in communication with the two separate downstream passages, respectively. A throttle valve is disposed adjacent to the intake passage so as to extend a path of each separate upstream passage when the throttle valve is in its full throttle position.

  • Patent number: 5168838
Abstract: An induction system for use in a V-shaped engine having a forward bank and a rearward bank each provided with a row of cylinders, the induction system includes intake runners individually extending from the cylinders of each bank, the intake runners being convergedly connected at upstream end portions respectively. To upstream ends of thus converged connection portions are connected common intake passages, which are connected to a junction portion at a further upstream side, whereby the respective common intake passages are connected. The lengths of the intake runners from the cylinders up to a center of the converged connection portion are set equal to one another. The respective converged connection portions are arranged vertically above the rearward bank. A communicating passage is provided for communicating the center portions of the respective converged connection portions with each other.

  • Patent number: 5123383
Abstract: An intake system delivers air into cylinders of an internal combustion engine which are divided into two groups. The cylinders in each group are arranged in one and the same row so that adjoining cylinders in each row do not fire one after another. The intake system has conflux chambers for the cylinder rows, connected to the cylinders by intake passages, and also interconnected to each other by a communication passage having a valve. First and second resonant passages are each connected at one end to the respective conflux chambers and are joined together to communicate with each other at another end, opposite to the one end, in a location at which a throttle body is located. The first resonant passage has a connection point with one conflux chamber closer to an interconnection between both the conflux chambers than a connection point in a lengthwise direction of the second resonant passage with another conflux chamber.

  • Patent number: 4981115
Abstract: Each cylinder bank of a V-type engine is provided with a plurality of cylinders which are not in sequence in firing order. A collecting intake passage is connected to each of the cylinders of both banks by way of independent intake passages which pass between the two banks and have the same effective channel length, and each of the independent intake passages is arranged so that it extends substantially perpendicularly and upwardly from a cylinder. Both collecting intake passages are arranged above one of the cylinder banks, and the collecting intake passage which is connected to a cylinder of the other cylinder bank is arranged on the independent intake passages connected to the other collecting intake passage. By doing so, overlapping of both collecting intake passages can be avoided and thus the height of the intake system can be reduced. The independent intake passages and the collecting intake passage which overlaps the former have a common wall.
