  • Patent number: 10674044
Abstract: An observation apparatus includes an imaging unit, a driving mechanism, and a control section. The imaging unit includes an imaging section and an illumination section. The imaging section includes an image sensor and an imaging optical system, and images a sample to output an image signal. The illumination section includes a plurality of emitting sections which are located away from an optical axis of the imaging optical system and configured to emit illumination light toward the sample. The driving mechanism moves the imaging unit. The control section controls operations of the imaging section, the illumination section, and the driving mechanism. The control section determines a lighting emitting section of the emitting sections and causes the lighting emitting section to light based on the image signal, when the imaging unit is moved by the driving mechanism.

  • Patent number: 10310242
Abstract: An observation apparatus includes an imaging unit that includes an imaging section and an illumination section, a driving mechanism that moves the imaging unit, a position control section, a vessel position acquisition section, an illumination control section, an imaging control section that causes the imaging section to image a sample. The illumination section includes a plurality of emitting sections configured to emit illumination light and illuminates the sample. The position control section and the vessel position acquisition section acquire position information on the imaging unit and the sample, respectively. The illumination control section selects which of the emitting sections emits illumination light and causes the selected emitting section to emit main illumination light based on the position information on the sample and the imaging unit.

  • Publication number: 20180179483
Abstract: An experimental system includes an imaging unit which generates image data by imaging a sample, and an observation moving mechanism which changes a position of the imaging unit. The system also includes a supply and removal unit which supplies a liquid to the sample or removes the liquid from the sample, an operation moving mechanism which changes a position of the supply and removal unit, and a pump which moves the liquid through the supply and removal unit. Furthermore, the system includes a control circuit which controls operations of the observation moving mechanism and the operation moving mechanism such that the positions of the imaging unit and the supply and removal unit change together, and which controls an operation of the pump in accordance with the positions of the imaging unit and the supply and removal unit.
