  • Publication number: 20100106092
Abstract: An indwelling needle assembly has a hollow outer needle, an outer-needle hub fixed to the base end of the outer needle, an inner needle inserted into the outer needle, an inner-needle hub fixed to the base end of the inner needle, a tube connected to the base end (or a side section) of the outer-needle hub so that the inner cavity of the tube is communicated with the inner cavity of the outer needle, and a protector that, when the inner needle is removed from the outer needle, covers at least the point of the inner needle and disconnectably connected to the outer-needle hub. A finger hold is formed in a projecting manner on a protector cover of the protector, and the finger hold is pressed by a finger to move the outer needle in the direction of its tip relative to the inner needle.

  • Publication number: 20090143737
Abstract: An indwelling needle assembly has an inner needle having a sharp point at its tip, an inner needle hub fixed to the base end of the inner needle, a hollow outer needle in which the inner needle is inserted, and a seal section provided in the outer needle hub. In the indwelling needle assembly, the seal section has open/close means having a seal section body with a hole into which the inner needle is insertable, a shutter member for opening and closing the hole, and an urging member for urging the shutter member in the direction to close the hole.

  • Publication number: 20090054852
Abstract: A protector is attached for use to a needle body having a main needle body and an enlarged-diameter section having an outer diameter greater than that of the main needle body. The protector includes a platelike protector body made of a metal material. The protector body includes a first section formed with a first hole adapted to receive the needle body when the needle body is passed therethrough, a second section formed with a second hole, and a third section adapted to connect the first section and the second section. The second hole of the second section is provided with a tubular portion that permits the main needle body to pass therethrough, but prohibits the enlarged-diameter section from passing through the tubular portion. In a state in which the protector covers the needle tip, the tubular portion comes into abutment against the enlarged-diameter section, thus prohibiting the needle body from moving toward the proximal side.

  • Publication number: 20080312596
Abstract: An indwelling needle assembly includes a stylet having a sharp needlepoint at an end thereof, a stylet hub secured to a base end of the stylet, a hollow outer needle in which the stylet is inserted, an outer needle hub secured to a base end of the outer needle, an opening formed at the base end or at a side of the outer needle hub to communicate with the inner cavity of the outer needle, a seal fitted onto the outer needle hub and in which a hole or slit is provided for insertion of the stylet therein, the hole or slit being formed to become closed when the inserted stylet is extracted, an operating part installed on the outer needle hub to move the stylet and outer needle along the longitudinal direction when the stylet is inserted into the outer needle, and a movement suppresser for stopping or suppressing moving the stylet relative to the seal when the operating part is operated.

  • Publication number: 20080103449
Abstract: An indwelling needle assembly has an inner needle having a sharp point at its tip, an inner needle hub fixed to a base section of the inner needle, a hollow outer needle into which the inner needle is inserted, an outer needle hub fixed to a base section of the outer needle, and a tube inserted into the inner needle hub and connected to the base section of the outer needle hub such that the inner cavity of the tube communicates with the inner cavity of the outer needle. The center axis of the outer needle and the center axis of the tube at its head section are substantially parallel with each other with the inner needle inserted into the outer needle.

  • Patent number: 5326534
Abstract: A liquid collecting tube for receiving blood or liquid for inspection is disclosed, which has a tubular member and a closure member for closing an open end of the tubular member and made of a material capable of being pierced by a piercing needle. The closing member includes a sealing member for holding the open end of the tubular member sealed when taking out the liquid form the tubular member with a take-out tool and a separable member separablly laminated on the outer side of the sealing member. The separable member is removed so that only the sealing member remains on the tubular member when taking out liquid. The sealing member is film-like and can be readily broken by the take-out tool such as a pipette.

  • Patent number: 5061263
Abstract: A liquid collection tube for collecting blood or like liquid with a liquid collection needle, comprises a tube member with a bottom and a cap member removably fitted on an open end of the tube, with thread structures. A sealing member is interposed between the cap member and open end of the tube member to enhance the close contact between the two. The sealing member is not bonded to the open end of the tube member, and it can be removed together with the cap member to open the open end of the tube member when the cap member is removed from the tube member. The cap member has a through hole permitting a re-sealing member of the sealing member to be pierced from the outside.

  • Patent number: 5020220
Abstract: A film-like closure opener opens a film-like closure such as a cap or lid which closes an open end of a bottomed tubular container such as a blood collecting tube. The film-like closure opener includes a cutter having a circular cutting edge for cutting off at least a substantial portion of the film-like closure along the open end of the tubular container. The opener may have a needle for piercing an elastic member on the film-like closure, so that the cut-off closure can be removed with the needle. The opener also has a gripper which is manually held and pushed to force the cutter into the tubular container while cutting off the film-like closure.
