  • Patent number: 10158769
Abstract: The invention backups job data, and detects and predicts the occurrence of trouble in a storage device. A gateway registers job data registered in a HDD and vibration-detection information of a vibration-detection sensor received from a user terminal in a memory, and then transmits the job data to a MFP. The MFP registers the job data in a HDD, and according to a request from the gateway, transmits the job data registered in the HDD and vibration-detection information of a vibration-detection sensor to the gateway. The gateway compares the data amount of when the job data is registered in the memory and the data amount of the job data from the gateway, and when there is a difference, registers trouble information related to the HDD in the memory.

  • Patent number: 10148827
Abstract: Provided is a data transmission system for detecting and predicting the occurrence of problems in image processing of a printing job before starting printing. A gateway registers a printing job that is received from a user terminal in memory, then transmits the printing job to a MFP. The MFP transmits printing data information to the gateway indicating the data amount in time when an image processing unit performs image processing on the printing job. The user terminal transmits printing data information to the gateway indicating the data amount in time when a simulated image processing unit perform a simulation process on the printing job. The gateway compares the printing data information, and when there is a difference in data amounts, registers problem information in memory indicating that there is a problem in image processing by the simulated image processing unit or the image processing unit.

  • Publication number: 20030076418
Abstract: The testing apparatus of the invention includes an MPEG encoder, a memory, an MPEG decoder, a comparator and a determiner. The MPEG encoder, which stores in advance grammar rules of MPEG Audio (encoding/decoding rules) to enable MPEG Audio encoding, outputs a bit string (stream) conforming to the MPEG Audio grammar rules in frame units. When a parameter (variable) or parameters of MPEG Audio are designated, the MPEG encoder prepares frames so that all possible values to be taken by each designated parameter are covered under the MPEG Audio encoding conditions, and continues outputting the frames until this is done for all of the designated parameters.

  • Patent number: 5136663
Abstract: A vector quantization image processing apparatus includes a minimum value separation circuit, a normalization circuit, and a first codebook. By separating the minimum value of the inputted vector and normalizing at the maximum value, it is possible to reduce drastically the number of output vectors. Using the position information of the inputted vector, the output vectors in the first codebook are classified to make it possible to search for the optimum output vector at a high speed.
