Publication number: 20020105669Abstract: Conventionally, when due to running out of a battery or paper the printing designated in advance is not completed and when the interrupted printing is to be resumed, the images from the beginning must be printed, or images to be printed must be selected again using the camera. To resolve this problem, a printing system, which continuously performs printing on a plurality of sheets based on print setting information including, at the least, information for designating an image to be printed, comprises input means for entering image data that are to be printed printing means for printing the image data entered by the input means, storage means for, when printing based on the print setting information is halted, storing interrupt information concerning the printing completed before the interrupt, and control means for employing the interrupt information stored in the storage means to resume printing based on the print setting information.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 30, 2002Publication date: August 8, 2002Inventors: Hitoshi Watanabe, Takatoshi Suzuki

Patent number: 5840136Abstract: A bainite forming process for treating a steel material reduces the time required for a complete thermal treatment as well as the cycle time for the thermal treatment device without necessitating any special means for handling the steel material. The steel material is heated to a temperature higher than the austenitic transformation point, and temporarily quenched to an intermediate point temperature higher than the martensitic transformation point. Then, the temperature of the steel material is again raised towards the range corresponding to bainitic transformation to form a bainitic structure. The reheating is discontinued before the temperature corresponding to the austenitic transformation point is reached, and the steel material is then quenched. In the heating steps, only the portion to be treated by the bainite forming process is locally irradiated with a high-density energy beam.Type: GrantFiled: March 4, 1997Date of Patent: November 24, 1998Assignee: Aisin AW Co., Ltd.Inventors: Michio Maruki, Kouji Ohbayashi, Takatoshi Suzuki

Patent number: 5694330Abstract: A multiplier calculates a product S'(x)=S(x).multidot..lambda.(x) mod X.sup.d-1 of a syndrome polynomial S(x) generated by a syndrome generator and an erasure position polynomial .lambda.(x) generated by an erasure position polynomial generator, modulo X.sup.d-1. A constant multiplier sequentially multiplies coefficients of the polynomial S'(x) and the erasure position polynomial .lambda.(x) with a power of a primitive root .alpha. of a code. The power exponents in this multiplication are determined in units of coefficients. Every time this multiplication is executed, an adder sequentially adds predetermined combinations of products. A plurality of arithmetic and logic operations according to the numbers of correctable erasures and errors are sequentially executed using the sums. A divisor and dividend are selected in accordance with the number of erasures included in the code on the basis of the plurality of arithmetic and logic operation results.Type: GrantFiled: April 20, 1994Date of Patent: December 2, 1997Assignee: Canon Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Keiichi Iwamura, Takayuki Aizawa, Izumi Narita, Takatoshi Suzuki

Patent number: 5682650Abstract: A sheet clipping device of the invention is designed to detachably hold one or more sheets. The sheet clipping device is formed of an elongated base member, and a plurality of gripping devices fixed to the elongated base member at a predetermined distance away from each other along the longitudinal direction thereof. The elongated base member is formed of upper and lower portions with diagonal upper and lower guide members, and a back portion situated between the upper and lower portions. Distal ends of the upper and lower guide members are vertically spaced apart from each other. Each gripping device includes an upper frictional member fixed to the upper portion, and a lower frictional member fixed to the lower portion to face to each other. When the sheets are inserted between the upper and lower frictional members through the guide members, the sheets are frictionally retained between the frictional members. The sheets can be easily attached to or removed from the clipping device.Type: GrantFiled: September 9, 1996Date of Patent: November 4, 1997Assignees: Colleague Agencies, Inc., Takatoshi SuzukiInventors: Toshio Noguchi, Yasushi Yamaguchi, Takatoshi Suzuki

Patent number: 5517471Abstract: A light beam is applied to an information recording medium to record information. A light amount of the light beam reflected by the recording medium is detected simultaneously with the recording of information. A defect of the recording medium is detected by comparing the detected light amount with a reference value. When a degree of the detected defect exceeds a predetermined level, the information is rerecorded on another portion of the recording medium.Type: GrantFiled: December 30, 1992Date of Patent: May 14, 1996Assignee: Canon Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Takaaki Ashinuma, Takatoshi Suzuki, Masakuni Yamamoto

Patent number: 5315600Abstract: Respective processes of decoding in error correction are subjected to parallel processing using a plurality of processing elements (PEs) each having the same configuration. At any given time, when processing of one process has been terminated, processing proceeds to a PE having the highest priority among PEs waiting for processing. The PE which has received data recognizes and executes the next process for that data.Type: GrantFiled: June 7, 1991Date of Patent: May 24, 1994Assignee: Canon Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Keiichi Iwamura, Takayuki Aizawa, Izumi Narita, Takatoshi Suzuki

Patent number: 4934440Abstract: A mold surface treatment process comprises: providing a fluidized bed of a treating powder; holding the mold in the fluidized bed to fill up the depressions of the mold surfaces with the treating powder by employing a surface treating member for pushing the treating powder into the depressions; and taking the mold out of the fluidized bed. The mold surface treatment allows to make molten metal less likely penetrate into the walls of mold, and to manufacture a mold which generates less amount of gum causing defects during casting.Type: GrantFiled: September 1, 1988Date of Patent: June 19, 1990Assignees: Kabushiki Kaisha Toyota Chuo Kenkyusho, Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Yuji Sakakibara, Takatoshi Suzuki, Hiroaki Hayashi, Yasuo Takada, Akihiko Suda, Yoshiro Hayashi, Kenji Kaida, Ryuuichi Masuda, Masahiro Taguchi

Patent number: 4713444Abstract: A polymer slurry formed by polymerizing ethylene or propylene optionally with other olefin monomer copolymerizable therewith in a hydrocarbon solvent such as propylene, propane, butane, etc., is continuously or intermittently supplied to a filter having a filtering surface on which a slight quantity of polymer particles are retained. Most of the hydrocarbon solvent is recovered by passing through the filtering surface, and the polymer particles are overflown from the filter to recover as a wet cake. By the use of such a specific filter, the quantity of the solvent to be vaporized can be greatly reduced.Type: GrantFiled: May 30, 1986Date of Patent: December 15, 1987Assignee: Sumitomo Chemical Company, LimitedInventors: Kiyoshi Matsuyama, Takatoshi Suzuki, Takeshi Chigusa
