  • Patent number: 5292279
Abstract: In a slot machine island wherein gaming medals can be distributed into juxtaposed slot machines and medal lending machines by a distributing conveyor belt extended in a horizontal direction; a medal distribution apparatus characterized by being so constructed that shafts each of which is rotated forwards and reversely by a reversible motor or a rotary solenoid are stretched across the conveyor belt inwards of respective release ports which are provided at predetermined intervals sideways of the conveyor belt, and that a guide valve is fixed to each of the shafts so as to fall, when its lower edge has approached the top surface of the conveyor belt in parallel therewith, into a shape in which the guide valve is located aslant the widthwise direction of the conveyor belt and is inclined relative to the corresponding release port.

  • Patent number: 5292131
Abstract: A curtain panel assembly, for an island of game machines, which enables any person of the amusement arcade to look into the island easily and quickly to check the states of game mediums in a distribution gutter situated in the upper part of a support frame of the island or for the purpose of maintenance of the interior structure of the island. In the curtain panel assembly, a curtain panel is mounted on the upper part of the support frame outwardly thereof and is pivotally connected at its upper edge to the upper frame edge. The curtain panel has on its inside wall surface a mirror on which the image of the interior, e.g. the distribution gutter, of the island is reflected so as to be observed from outside when the curtain panel is moved angularly about the upper panel edge to open as the lower panel edge is pulled upwardly.

  • Patent number: 5278643
Abstract: A monitoring apparatus in a game hall where a large number of game machines are disposed in lines includes a monitoring video camera, preset monitoring condition memories, drivers, abnormality sensors, a judgement processor and a monitor. The monitoring video camera includes a zoom lens, and is installed at a position for monitoring at least two of the game machines simultaneously. The preset monitoring condition memories store preset monitoring conditions of the monitoring video camera for taking a close-up of each of the game machines through the zoom lens. The drivers set the monitoring video camera according to the preset monitoring conditions and the abnormality sensors monitor a game situation. The judgment processor analyzes information based on the abnormality sensors and upon deciding that an abnormal state exists, controls the driver so as to set the monitoring video camera according to the preset monitoring conditions for the game machine corresponding to the abnormal state.

  • Patent number: 5236639
Abstract: A carbon/carbon composite material is efficiently and economically produced while maintaining a certain degree of strength, by mechanically mixing a matrix carbon material and carbon fibers in proportions that are determined on the basis of the carbonization ratio of the matrix material and on the basis of the desired ratio of fibers to be contained in a resultant product. After pressure molding the mixture, the mixture is cured, and carbonized while being further pressurized. Thus, additional matrix material is provided which fills open pores left by evaporated matrix material at the time of molding, curing, etc., thereby increasing the density. A carbon/carbon composite material of good quality has been provided without requiring repetition of steps.

  • Patent number: 5126781
Abstract: An image recording apparatus having an exposure unit, a pressure developing unit and a thermal fixing unit. The apparatus employs a separate type image recording mediums including a microcapsule sheet and a separate developer sheet. The thermal fixing unit applies heat to the developer sheet carrying an output image thereon. A heat application means of the thermal fixing unit is positioned spaced away from the imaging surface of the developer sheet for avoding direct contact therewith.

  • Patent number: 4959529
Abstract: A sheet heating device having heat insulators for preventing at least one of sheet feeding roller and sheet discharge roller from being overheated. The sheet heating device includes a delivery unit for delivering a piece of sheet, a heating unit for heating the sheet on a delivery path of the sheet, a cover member for covering the heating unit and opening on a feed side and a discharge side of the sheet, respectively, and two pairs of rollers adapted to close respective openings of the cover member. The pair of rollers serve as heat insulators for avoiding overheating to the sheet feeding and discharging rollers. Shutter members are also available for heat insulation. The shutter members also serve to confine hot air within an interior of the heating device.
