  • Patent number: 11039908
Abstract: A needleless injector which can selectively induce the immune response and a method for introducing DNA including a region coding for an antigen to selectively produce an antibody in a living body of a mammal by using the needleless injector are provided. Disclosed is a needleless injector for injecting a DNA solution into an injection target area without using any injection needles. The needleless injector includes an accommodating unit which accommodates the DNA solution, a predetermined ignition device; and a predetermined nozzle unit. A temperature of the predetermined combustion product, which is provided during the pressurization, changes to a neighborhood of ordinary temperature within 20 msec after a pressure, which is applied to the DNA solution on account of the combustion of the igniter powder, reaches an initial peak discharge force during a pressurization process for discharging the DNA solution.

  • Patent number: 10926033
Abstract: An injector can include an ignition device having a partition member which forms a first space to store a gunpowder and which is formed of a prescribed rigid material such that the partition member is breached based on a rise in pressure of the first space when the gunpowder is burned. The injector can also include a case including a base section fixed on a side of the ignition device. The case can be arranged in a space inside the injector main body so as to cover the ignition device. The case can define a second space with the partition member of the ignition device and encapsulate, inside the second space, a combustion product of the gunpowder. When the gunpowder burns in the ignition device and pressure inside the second space rises, a part of the case extends so as to approach a prescribed end section.

  • Patent number: 10910180
Abstract: An injector can include an ignition device including a partition wall member forming a first space for housing a gunpowder and made from a rigid material to be destroyed by a rise in pressure in the first space in a case that the gunpowder is combusted. The actuator can also include a casing including a base portion being fixed to the actuator body near the ignition device, and being disposed in a space inside the actuator body covering the ignition device. The casing can define a second space between the casing and the partition wall member of the ignition device, and seal, inside the second space, a combustion product generated by combustion of the gunpowder by the ignition device. When pressure inside the second space arises due to combustion of the gunpowder, a portion of the casing can stretch to approach a predetermined end portion of the output piston portion.

  • Patent number: 10867764
Abstract: An actuator includes an actuator body, an output piston portion, an ignition device and a sealing member formed of a metal plate-like member. The sealing member separates a space in the actuator body into a first space where the ignition device is disposed and a second space where the output piston portion is disposed, and seals a combustion product generated by the ignition device in the first space. A peripheral edge portion of the sealing member is fixed to an inner wall that defines the space. The sealing member is deformed by the gunpowder combustion such that its central portion is displaced to a side of the output piston portion, to thereby press the output piston portion using the central portion and cause the output piston portion to slide in the through hole. With this, energy for driving an output piston portion is suitably transmitted to the output piston portion.

  • Publication number: 20190184102
Abstract: An administration apparatus includes an apparatus body, a syringe portion, a piston portion, an ignition device and a sealing member formed of a metal plate-like member. The sealing member separates a space in the apparatus body into a first space where the ignition device is disposed and a second space where the piston portion is disposed, and seals a combustion product generated by the ignition device in the first space. A peripheral edge portion of the sealing member is fixed to an inner wall that defines the space. The sealing member is deformed by the gunpowder combustion such that its central portion is displaced to a side of the piston portion, to thereby press the piston portion against the plunger using the central portion. With this, the generated combustion product is prevented to be administered, and energy for administration is suitably transmitted to the substance to be administered.

  • Publication number: 20180328388
Abstract: A pyrotechnic actuator mechanism comprises a cover member which includes a first wall member which is opposed to a release portion of an ignition unit, and a second wall member which is connected thereto and which has a free end portion embedded in a fixing member. When an ignition charge contained in the ignition unit is combusted, then the cover member is moved in the propulsion direction so that a predetermined closed space is expanded in the propulsion direction of a piston, and the movement of the cover member is regulated so that a state, in which the free end portion of the second wall member is embedded in the fixing member, is maintained at a maximum propulsion position of the cover member. Accordingly, the residue, which is produced by the combustion of the ignition charge, is preferably suppressed from being discharged or emitted to the outside.
