    Abstract: An engine start control system which includes: a switch for turning on/off power supply to a starter of an engine; a sensor for sensing a crank angle of the engine; an engine status judgment unit which determines whether or not the engine is in a cranking state based on the crank angle sensed by the sensor; and a switch controller by which the switch is controlled to turn off the power supply to the starter, if a predetermined time elapses without the engine status judgment unit judging that the engine is in the cranking state, after the switch has been controlled to turn on the power supply to the starter.
