Abstract: A toner collecting device for collecting residual toner removed from an image retainer by a cleaning device after a toner image formed in the image retainer has been transferred to a sheet of paper. The toner collecting device has therein a conveyor device for carrying the residual toner. The conveyor device has its leading end portion disposed at a central portion of the toner collecting device. The upper surface of the toner collecting device has functions to guide transfer paper and to support a transfer electrode, and the leading end portion of the conveyor device is provided with a toner distributing diffusion blade member.

Abstract: In a system for constructing a ceiling surface exhaling and inhaling system clean room in an existing building without having any exhaust plenum provided under the floor or at the back of walls by supporting fan filter units, air inlet port units and blind panels to a moduled ceiling bars while selecting at will the numbers and positions of these units, a flexible clean room system is provided in which clean zones having necessary degree of cleanliness can be prepared at necessary positions and the changes of the layout of the clean zones, expansion or reduction of the room space can be freely performed.

Abstract: A cleaning system for an electrostatic copying apparatus has a cleaning roller in pressure contact with a toner supporting member for removing residual toner therefrom. The cleaning roller is impressed with a bias voltage of polarity opposite to the electric charge held by the residual toner. The cleaning roller comprises an axle, a conductive elastic layer around the axle, and a thin porous film formed as an outer most layer over the elastic layer. The thin film is preferably made of polytetrafluorethylene and is a porous and soft film. The cleaning system also includes a discharging electrode arranged before the cleaning roller, and a scraper for removing toner adhering to the cleaning roller.
