Abstract: A video conferencing apparatus for video conferencing includes: a light emission control means for allowing a light emitting means for emitting a light that is included in a sound collecting means for collecting a sound to emit a light in a certain light emission pattern; a light emitting position detecting means for detecting a light emitting position that is a position of the light in an image obtained by imaging the light from the light emitting means included in the sound collecting means by a first imaging means for imaging; an arranging direction detecting means for detecting an arranging direction that is a direction in which the sound collecting means is arranged based on the light emitting position; and an imaging control means for controlling an imaging direction that is a direction in which a second imaging means for imaging an image takes an image, based on the arranging direction.

Abstract: By preliminarily dissolving a basic organic compound in an aqueous solvent in which a peptide usable in metal-labeling is to be dissolved, the solubility of the peptide is improved and thus metal-labeling can be carried out without heating. A composition for medical use containing a peptide usable in metal-labeling and a basic organic compound acceptable as a pharmaceutical additive can be utilized as a preparation useful in image diagnosis, radiotherapy and so on.

Abstract: A compound that comprises Met-Leu-Phe or Nle-Leu-Phe serving as the leukocyte-binding site of a formyl peptide receptor (FPR), a binding part comprising Ser or Thr that increases the binding ratio to monocytes and lymphocytes in all leukocytes, a group that can be labeled with a radioactive metal or a paramagnetic metal, and spacers binding the three moieties together shows binding properties specific to all leukocytes, i.e., neutrophils, monocytes and lymphocytes both in vivo and in vitro. Owing to this characteristic, this compound is highly useful in SPECT image diagnosis, PET image diagnosis, MRI image diagnosis and the like, for imaging sites of inflammation.

Abstract: A teleconferencing system includes: a camera system for imaging a plurality of persons; a voice collector for capturing voices generated by a plurality of persons; and a transmitter for multiplexing an image signal acquired from the camera system and a voice signal acquired from the voice collector and transmitting a multiplexed signal via a communication line. The camera system includes: a camera; a driver for changing the viewing direction of the camera; and a camera controller for controlling the driver. The camera controller includes: a face position detection unit; a registration unit; a timing unit; a drive control unit; and a hold time control unit.

Abstract: An echo canceller for executing adaptive processing for canceling an echo component mixed with an audio input signal includes a volume ratio learner configured to compute a volume ratio between an audio output signal externally outputted and the audio input signal mixed with an echo component caused by reflection of the audio output signal to the audio input signal, thereby learning the volume ratio in a regular status in own apparatus, a double-talk detector configured to detect the double-talk status depending on whether a this-time volume ratio computed this time adapts to a double-talk status predicted by the learning of volume ratio and an echo cancel processor configured to control a learning operation of the echo component for the adaptive processing on the basis of a result of the double-talk status detection by the double-talk detector.

A group attribute certificate which has, as stored information, group identification information corresponding to a group which is a set of certain devices or certain users, and also has affixed an electronic signature of an issuer, is issued to a service reception entity, and verification is performed by means of signature verification for of the group attribute certificate presented from the user device regarding whether or not there has been tampering, screening is performed regarding whether or not this is a service-permitted group based on group identification information stored in the group attribute certificate by using a group information database, and determination is made regarding whether or not service can be provided, based on the screening.

Abstract: A microphone system including a main unit for controlling the entire system and microphones having cascade connections from the main unit assuming the main-unit side upstream and the opposite side downstream. The microphone includes communication control means for controlling data transmitted between the main unit and microphones, sound input means for converting collected sound into a digital signal, echo cancellation means for eliminating an echo component in the sound signal, and sound-information generation means for updating the sound information by adding the sound signal of the self-microphone to the sound information of the downstream microphones and upstream transmitting the up data including the updated sound information. The microphone transmits the down data transmitted from the main unit to the down-most microphone in sequence in accordance with the cascade connection and transmits the up data from the down-most microphone to the main unit in reverse sequence.

Abstract: A client apparatus can protect a content key, which is required for decrypting encrypted content, from a malicious third party. In the client apparatus, an authority managing unit and a content using unit share a session key (distribution key) provided in common to all apparatuses before shipment. Therefore, when the authority managing unit sends a content key to the content using unit, the authority managing unit encrypts the content key with the session key that the authority managing unit itself has. Then, the authority managing unit sends the encrypted content key to the content using unit via a common bus. The content using unit, having received the encrypted content key, decrypts the encrypted content key with the session key, which the content using unit itself also has, to obtain the content key.

Abstract: A system and method for performing reliable access limitation in communication via a network are realized. In communication among communication processing devices via a communication network, a relay server such as a home server verifies and examines an attribute certificate of the access source, and determines whether or not the access source is a permitted member of the access destination. Only when the access source is permitted by the access destination, a name resolution process is performed, and the address information of the access destination is notified to the access source. A group attribute certificate in which the domain name and the host name of the access source are described is used, and the address corresponding to the domain name and the host name is updated.

Abstract: In a system in which a common rail accumulates fuel pressurized by a high pressure supply pump, when a pipe connected to the common rail is damaged or a pulsation of fuel injection is caused in the system, reliability of the system is greatly affected because of high pressure. According to the present invention, a mechanism to prevent leakage of fuel from the common rail even when the pipe is damaged, or a mechanism to damp a pulsation of fuel pressure, is provided in a pipe close to the common rail. Therefore, reliability of the system is improved.
