  • Patent number: 7083171
Abstract: A metal seal of ring as a whole disposed between a first contact flat face portion and a second contact flat face portion parallel to each other. This metal seal has a middle base portion, a first contact convex portion, and a second contact convex portion. The first contact convex portion protrudes from an inner side and the second contact convex portion protrudes from an outer side. The metal seal generates torsional elastic deformation around the middle base portion as a center in an attached and compressed state.

  • Patent number: 6357759
Abstract: In order to achieve constantly stable, high seal performance without requiring high machining accuracy, and in order to provide a reusable jacket seal, the present invention discloses a jacket seal, wherein a projection is formed at a position of a metal jacket in opposite relationship with a seal surface of a member being sealed, a flat portion is formed in an elastic member within the metal jacket so as to be brought into surface-to-surface contact with a flange portion interior surface, and the vertex portion of the projection is formed flat.

  • Publication number: 20010032701
Abstract: A method for producing a wave absorber, which method includes rubbing a mixture of a solidifiable fluid binder and a particulate dielectric loss material on a substrate and solidifying the binder, thereby to laminate a wave absorptive layer on the substrate, and a wave absorber produced by this production method are provided. According to the production method of the present invention, a structure including a dielectric loss material and a binder admixed most preferably for wave absorption can be formed easily into a long sheet or a long belt-like wave absorber.

  • Patent number: 6286839
Abstract: A ring seal contains a core made from an elastic organic polymer and a metal jacket having a U-shaped sectional shape, which jacket surrounds the core to prevent transfer of a substance generated from the core into the sealed space. The seal of the present invention does not release a foreign material into the sealed space, nor does it require a great force for clamping. Accordingly, it is useful as a vacuum seal that achieves miniaturization and reduced weight of a vacuum apparatus. In particular, by making the sectional shape of the metal jacket a U shape, the core can be easily detached and attached for fitting after forming the jacket, and the inside of the jacket can be washed easily.
