Patent number: 9255943Abstract: A process of the invention analyzes a moving speed using acceleration data by an acceleration sensor and calculates a moving distance of the object. The process removes each of given candidate values of drift components from angular velocity data by a gyro sensor and generates relative azimuths data pieces. Based on the respective relative azimuths data pieces, the process calculates moving directions of the object. Using the moving distance and moving directions calculated, the process creates plural moving loci corresponding to the candidate values of drift components. By comparing the positions of actual starting and end points of moving in a building with the positions of starting and end points of each moving locus, the process evaluates the moving loci and determines an optimal moving locus out of the moving loci, based on the evaluation result.Type: GrantFiled: December 18, 2012Date of Patent: February 9, 2016Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Takayuki Akiyama, Hideki Hayashi, Akiko Sato

Publication number: 20160005058Abstract: Since questionnaires are used according to the sensitivity marketing method in the related art, it is not possible to obtain answers from many people at the same time, and also, analysis of the answers requires a long time, which does not match life cycles of product development. Furthermore, there is a problem that credibility of the aggregate result is low without the use of biomarkers. A sensitivity evaluation system for evaluating distributed video information has a client system that transmits an evaluation request related to the video information to an information analysis system and transmits the video information, which is to be viewed by an examinee at a terminal. The terminal transmits a biosignal, which is measured by an apparatus that the examinee wears to the information analysis system which analyzes the biosignal, creates a report related to the video information, and transmits the created report to the client system.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 26, 2012Publication date: January 7, 2016Applicant: HITACHI, LTD.Inventors: Kazuhiko SAGARA, Takayuki AKIYAMA, Kiyoshi HASEGAWA, Atsushi MAKI

Patent number: 6217720Abstract: A method is described for depositing a complex optical multilayer coating on a substrate. The coating consists of multiple layers of at least two material types. The layers are sequentially deposited in a deposition chamber by reactive deposition; preferably sputtering, and the thickness of the deposited layers is determined one or more times during the layer deposition by taking optical measurements of the deposited layer and fitting theoretical values derived from a model of the deposited layers to the corresponding actual values obtained from said measurements. A process variable is continually controlled to ensure homogeneity of the deposited layers so that a valid thickness determination can be made from said theoretical model.Type: GrantFiled: June 3, 1997Date of Patent: April 17, 2001Assignee: National Research Council of CanadaInventors: Brian T.
