  • Patent number: 8310726
Abstract: An image processing apparatus including a specific image detection unit detecting an area including at least a part of a specific image in an input image, a representative color calculation unit calculating a representative color of the specific image on the basis of pixels belonging to the area detected by the specific image detection unit, plural correction curve acquisition units which acquire plural correction curves resulting in gradation correction for every element color on the basis of the gradation value for every element color constituting the representative color after correction, and plural correction units which correct the gradation value for every element color in each pixel constituting the input image based on the obtained plural correction curves.

  • Patent number: 8135214
Abstract: An image processing device corrects a color of a specific area in a target image into an appropriate color. A representative brightness value represents the specific area in a first color space that has a brightness index value. Representative color component values represent the specific area in a second color space that has no brightness index value and a plurality of color component values. The color of the specific area is corrected based on the representative brightness and color component values. The brightness of the specific area is corrected by modifying the brightness index value in the first color space and the color component values in the second color space. First and second brightness correction degrees are set on the basis of the representative brightness value.

  • Publication number: 20100020341
Abstract: An image processing apparatus including a specific image detection unit detecting an area including at least a part of a specific image in an input image, a difference acquisition unit acquiring a difference between brightness of the area detected by the specific image detection unit and brightness of a background area in the input image, a correction curve acquisition unit acquiring a correction curve for gradation correction on the basis of the difference, and a correction unit correcting the gradation value of a pixel, which belongs to a color gamut with a dark portion defined, from among pixels constituting the input image by using the correction curve.

  • Publication number: 20080240605
Abstract: An image processing apparatus performs correction processing on image data. A night scene judgment unit judges whether an image represented by the image data is a night scene image. A correction unit performs correction on the image data by relatively strengthening a degree of expansion of luminosity range of the image data that is judged as being a night scene image by the night scene judgment unit in comparison with image data that is judged as not being a night scene image, so that the brightness range of the image data is enlarged.
