  • Publication number: 20040249924
Abstract: An information management apparatus 4 acquires service-specific information which is related to a combination of types of electronic apparatuses 1 required for implementing a service. The information management apparatus 4 having stored there in at least one piece of service-specific information acquired by a service-specific information acquisition section. The information management apparatus 4 acquires apparatus-specific information which is related to an electronic apparatus 1. The electronic apparatus 1 transmits a service search request. In response to the service search request, the information management apparatus 4 searches for services, which can be implemented by the electronic apparatus 1, based on the service-specific information and the apparatus-specific information. The information management apparatus 4 transmits to the electronic apparatus 1 a search result which is information indicting a listing of services which can be implemented by the electronic apparatus 1.

  • Patent number: 6064890
Abstract: In order to detect a base station for a call connect or handover in almost real time while a mobile communication apparatus is moving, the measured base station selecting unit 110 refers to the measured base station table 101 and selects a next base station to be measured. The measuring unit 111 measures the signal quality for the selected base station. The measuring result judging unit 112 compares the measured signal quality with a predetermined threshold and judges whether the measurement of the signal quality of the present base station should be continued or whether a switch to measuring a next base station should be performed. The periphery base station table updating unit 113 rearranges the content of the periphery base station table 102 in descending order of signal quality, based on the information stored in the periphery base station table 102 and on the averages of the signal quality measurements.

  • Patent number: 5745487
Abstract: A communication apparatus is provided for transmitting and receiving a plurality types of data with a TDM slot, changing the type of the data by switching a mode. The communication apparatus includes mode switching unit 101 and data dividing unit 102. The mode switching unit 101 judges whether a length of the second data is less than a predetermined value when it detects a necessity for transmitting the second data during a transmission of the first data. If less, mode switching unit 101 inserts a non-acknowledgement-type mode switch directive in the time slot data and transmits the time slot data by an interrupt. The data dividing unit 102 identifies the second data included in the received time slot data if it is judged that the received time slot data includes the non-acknowledgement-type mode switch directive, and processes the data according to the identification.

  • Patent number: 5600635
Abstract: The caller personal station of the present invention includes the following units: a channel search unit for scanning the plurality of communication channels to search for an unoccupied channel and regarding the unoccupied channel as a multicast channel; and a simultaneous call unit for repeatedly transmitting a simultaneous call frame on the multicast channel for a first predetermined time period, the simultaneous call frame indicating a simultaneous call to the other personal stations; a multicast unit for transmitting multicast frames on the multicast channel when a second predetermined time period has passed, the multicast frames containing data to be multicast. On receiving the simultaneous call frame by sequentially sensing the plurality of communication channels, the other personal stations enter a receiving state of multicast frames on the multicast channel.
