  • Publication number: 20140040740
Abstract: Disclosed are an information processing apparatus, an information processing method, and a program capable of easily classifying contents as a processing target in reproduction and the like. For example, a screen is displayed by arranging a (thumbnail of a) cover art as a symbol image serving as a symbol representing a content such as a song on a 2-dimensional plane, and a carpet area which is a band-shaped area having a width extending, for example, in an x-direction as a direction perpendicular to a predetermined axis of the 2-dimensional plane is displayed. The content whose symbol image is included in the carpet area is regarded as a processing target in a predetermined process. The present technology may be applied to, for example, a case where a song to be registered in a playlist is classified from contents such as songs.

  • Patent number: 8339422
Abstract: An information processing apparatus according to the present invention includes an acquisition unit that obtains from a terminal device equipped with a display screen attribute information including information indicating the directionality of the display screen, a detection unit that detects the size of a input image, an adjustment unit that adjusts the size of the input image so as to align the direction along which the longer side of the input image extends with the direction along which the longer side of the display screen extends based upon the information indicating the directionality of the display screen included in the attribute information, and a transfer unit that transfers the input image with the adjusted size to the terminal device.

  • Patent number: 8256014
Abstract: When a PC 10 connects to a PD 20, the PC 10 decides whether or not the PD 20 holds a group ID and if the PC 10 decides PD 20 holds the group ID, PC 10 decides whether or not the group ID held in the PC 10 and the group ID held in the PD 20 coincide with each other. If the both IDs are not decided that they don't coincide with each other, the PC 10 acquires a device ID corresponding to PD 20 from PD 20 and transfers the device ID and a terminal ID of the PC 10 to a server apparatus 32. Then the PC 10 receives, from the server apparatus 32, a user link completion information representative that an association between first user ID corresponding to the terminal ID and second user ID corresponding to the device ID is completed.

  • Patent number: 8127218
Abstract: The state of a label at an optional time point, such as a past time point, can be recognized, while the label can be regenerated even when the label has been deleted. When a label on which can be pasted an object, such as text, picture or sound, is acted upon (yes at step S141) the difference of the label information is computed (step S142) and the computed difference information is stored (steps S144, S145). The label state is then regenerated based on the time information stored in association with the label and the difference information. Also, time is displayed, plural time intervals are displayed (step S201), a desired one of the plural time intervals is selected (step S202) and time display is controlled responsive to the selected time intervals (steps S203 to S206), to facilitate retrieval of the information corresponding to the specified time.

  • Patent number: 7493339
Abstract: An information processing method and apparatus, and a medium, in which pre-set processing can be executed on a label bonded as a tag sheet on a desk top screen of a personal computer. It is desirable that, if a large number of the information is pasted on a label, which information has been pasted can be recognized, whilst the information other than the text, speech or the picture can be pasted e.g., indirectly. To this end, the link information, representing an object, such as text, picture or the sound, and other files, is generated (step S172). A label in which the object information or the link information can be pasted is stored. The label state is regenerated and, based on the link information (yes at step S174), the object and other files are acquired (step S175).

  • Patent number: 7430595
Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a music file storage unit and a transport processor. The music file storage unit stores a music file, PC-use additional information that can be displayed by a personal computer, and PD-use additional information that can be displayed by a portable device as they are. At the time of move-out, the transport processor copies, to the portable device, the music file, the PC-use additional information, and the PD-use additional information that are stored in the music file storage unit. When the data is correctly written in the portable device, the transport processor deletes, from the music file storage unit, the music file, the PC-use additional information, and the PD-use additional information.
