  • Publication number: 20130129550
Abstract: A scroll-type fluid machine in which: a fixed scroll and a moveable scroll are disposed in a housing; a fluid pocket, the volume of which varies, is formed between the fixed scroll and the moveable scroll; and a thrust plate for receiving the reaction force in the axial direction of pressure applied within the fluid pocket is disposed between the bottom plate of the moveable scroll and the housing. The scroll-type fluid machine is characterized in that at least the surface of the thrust plate facing the bottom plate of the moveable scroll is subjected to tin plating. As a consequence, it is possible to efficiently produce, at a low cost, a thrust bearing which is disposed between the bottom plate of the moveable scroll and the housing, exerts excellent seizure resistance, and has a high PV limit level and a low friction coefficient.

  • Publication number: 20130058821
Abstract: A scroll-type fluid machine (1, 88) in which a fixed scroll (8) and a movable scroll (10), in consort, demarcate a compression or expansion chamber (60) of a lubricant-containing working fluid, the fluid machine having a housing (4) provided with a port (16) through which the working fluid passes, and a pedestal section (62) in which the port opens, and which is applied with thrust load on the back face (64) side of an end plate (10a) of the movable scroll due to the demarcation of the compression or expansion chamber. The pedestal section has a groove (72, 90) formed in a region including an opening of the port.

  • Patent number: 8157550
Abstract: In a scroll compressor, a fixed scroll (3) and a movable scroll (5) each having a spiral body are engaged with each other, grooves (13, 14) extending along the spiral shape of the spiral body are formed on the forward end surface of the spiral body of at least either one of the fixed scroll and movable scroll, and tip seals (11, 12) are disposed in the grooves so as to project from the forward end surface and be slidable on the bottom plate surface of the other scroll facing the forward end surface. The tip seals have large projection parts (17, 18) with a larger amount of projection from the forward end surface and small projection parts (19, 20) with a smaller amount of projection from the forward end surface, and the large projection parts and small projection parts are arranged alternately in the direction along the spiral shape of the spiral body.

  • Patent number: 5443374
Abstract: A hermetic type scroll compressor includes a hermetically sealed compressor housing formed by first and second cup-shaped casings. A cylindrical housing portion is disposed between the first and second cup-shaped casings and has an annular inner block extending inwardly therefrom. The inner block divides the interior of the compressor into a first chamber in which the drive mechanism is housed and a second chamber in which the compression mechanism is housed. At one end, the drive shaft is supported by the inner block through bearings, and at the its other end, the drive shaft is supported by an annular projection extending from and integral with the second cup-shaped casing. Additionally, the stator is fixedly secured to the second cup-shaped casing. A gas passage, which allows the outer diameter of the compressor to be reduced, extends through the inner block to provide fluid communication between the first and second chambers.
