  • Patent number: 10777778
Abstract: With chemically-strengthened thin glass substrates provided with an alkali barrier film, if the light-absorbing or light-scattering nature of the alkali barrier film itself has lowered the light extraction efficiency, or if the surface of the alkali barrier film is insufficiently flat, there may consequently be an increase in leakage current of an organic EL element and a decrease in reliability, leaving room for improvement. Instead of such an alkali barrier film, by providing an organic EL panel with a barrier film of the present invention and also with an organic EL element on a chemically-strengthened thin glass substrate with a specific light extraction structure therebetween, the glass substrate having one principal surface that includes a smooth region of the present invention, a high-performance organic EL panel can be obtained without compromising the organic EL properties.

  • Patent number: 10418427
Abstract: Forming functional layers including functional material in application regions by applying ink to the application regions then drying the ink, which contains the functional material, by causing nozzles to be scanned relative to the substrate along the row direction while, among the nozzles, only use-nozzles that are not selected as a defective nozzle eject the ink, the nozzles being arranged in the column direction over the substrate and including a nozzle selected in advance as a defective nozzle. Among the nozzles, when applying the ink, at least one reserve nozzle is present, a reserve nozzle being a nozzle that is not one of the use-nozzles, is not selected as the defective nozzle, passes over the application region, and does not eject the ink.

  • Patent number: 9449379
Abstract: A inspection method for a solution discharge device includes a discharge step, a imaging step, an acquisition step, and a judgement step of identifying a main drop among deposits found to have a deposit surface area falling within a deposit surface area standard for each imaging area. An upper bound and a lower bound of the deposit surface area standard are determined according to timing of imaging in the imaging step, such that the values applied to deposits in an imaging area imaged at a second imaging time that is later than a first imaging time are smaller than those applied to deposits in an imaging area imaged at the first imaging time.

  • Publication number: 20150241317
Abstract: A method for mass-producing coated products includes: (a) selecting in which one or more nozzles are selected; (b) testing in which droplet landing accuracies of the respective selected one or more nozzles are tested by ejecting a droplet; (c) classifying in which each of the selected one or more nozzles is classified into one of a chronic defective condition level, a temporary defective condition level, and a good condition level in accordance with the obtained droplet landing accuracies; and (d) ejecting in which a droplet is ejected using nozzles determined to be in the good condition level. The selecting (a), testing (b), classifying (c), and ejecting (d) are repeatedly performed in this order. In the selecting (a), nozzles classified into the good condition level and at least one of nozzles classified into the temporary defective condition level in the classifying (c) of the preceding cycle are selected.

  • Patent number: 8568383
Abstract: The present invention provides a disposable pants-type wearing article improved so as to eliminate a possibility that elastic members attached to peripheral edges of respective leg-openings might irritate the wearer's skin. The disposable pants-type wearing article has a band-like elastic member having a width dimension in a range of 5 to 60 mm and extending along peripheral edges of leg-openings so as to go half around each of the leg-openings. The elastic member comprises opposite end segments each lying in the uppermost zone of the leg-opening, a middle segment lying in the lowermost zone of the leg-opening and extending across a crotch region and intermediate segments each extending between the associated end segment and the middle segment wherein the intermediate segments are not bonded to sheet material constituting the wearing article.

  • Patent number: 7189220
Abstract: A disposable diaper includes a pair of tape fasteners 6 that are used to connect front and rear waist regions 8, 10 to each other and are attached to side flaps 14 in the rear waist region 10 of the diaper. Each of the tape fasteners 6 includes fibrous nonwoven fabric made of thermoplastic synthetic resin fiber and thermoplastic synthetic resin coated on a substantially whole area of an outer surface of the fibrous nonwoven fabric wherein the thermoplastic synthetic resin forms a substantially smooth synthetic resin layer on outer surfaces of the respective tape fasteners. Thus, a free portion of each tape fastener is reliably prevented from being disengaged from a target tape even when the outer surface of the tape fastener and an inner surface of an underwear rub together during use of the diaper.
