    Abstract: A head-up display device displays a virtual image in front of a vehicle, and includes a memory configured to store a program, and a processor. The processor is configured to execute the program and perform a process that includes acquiring information related to a target object recognized from image data received from an imaging device that captures a view in front of the vehicle, generating a projection image to be projected as the virtual image, determining a display position of the projection image along a traveling direction of the vehicle, based on the information related to the target object, using the target object as a reference, transforming the projection image into a support image viewed from a predetermined direction, and projecting the support image in front of the vehicle.
