  • Patent number: 11939928
Abstract: An EGR valve is provided in an EGR passage circulating a part of an exhaust gas of an exhaust pipe in an intake pipe as an EGR gas, the EGR valve adjusting an EGR gas amount flowing in the EGR passage when an engine is in an EGR region, a differential pressure device is provided in the intake pipe, the differential pressure device adjusting a differential pressure of the EGR valve, a control unit is provided to control the EGR valve and the differential pressure device, and the EGR control method includes switching whether to adjust the EGR gas amount using the EGR valve and the differential pressure device or to adjust the EGR gas amount using the EGR valve only on the basis of an exhaust gas pressure of an inlet portion of the EGR passage.

  • Patent number: 10810174
Abstract: A database includes a plurality of data blocks. Each of the plurality of data blocks includes a plurality of data pages in which a plurality of column values recorded in one or more records corresponding to the data block are stored. Each of the plurality of data pages has two or more column values in one column corresponding to the data page stored therein. A database server selects a data block from the plurality of data blocks and specifies a data page to be scanned from the selected data block.

  • Publication number: 20180285421
Abstract: A database management system generates an execution plan by performing the following (A) and (B): (A) processing of dividing a provisional execution plan that is an access path into one or more query processing blocks that are each a simultaneously executable processing range, the access path being specified on the basis of a received query and indicating an execution order of database operation; and (B) processing of determining, for each of the one or more query processing blocks, whether an execution cost decreases by changing an inner configuration of the query processing block on the basis of at least one of a processing time, performance, and the number of storage devices for one or more processing in the query processing block, and changing the inner configuration of the query processing block when a determination result is true.

  • Patent number: 9971793
Abstract: A database management system receives a new data table input to a database; and executes unique constraint determination processing of determining whether each comparison-subject value as each value registered in a target column in the new data table is different from each comparison reference value as each value registered in a target column in a stored data table in the database, and stores the new data table in a second database area different from a first database area storing the stored data table in the database when a determination result obtained in the unique constraint determination processing is true.

  • Patent number: 5732222
Abstract: An election terminal apparatus includes an integral-type display/input unit constituted by a liquid crystal display unit and a tablet unit for input data. The display unit displays a first screen including icons corresponding to candidates. A voter operates the tablet unit to designate a candidate for whom he/she wants to vote. The election terminal apparatus discriminates the candidate designated by the voter, and causes the liquid crystal display unit to display an image for allowing the voter to input the candidate name or the like with handwriting. When the voter handwrites the candidate name or the like on the table unit, the election terminal apparatus performs character recognition with respect to the handwritten pattern. When a candidate specified by the recognized characters coincides with the candidate designated first, the election terminal apparatus increments the vote count of the candidate by one.
