    Abstract: A fluid level detecting apparatus detects the level of fluid in a reservoir. When the fluid level detecting apparatus detects that the fluid level has reached a minimum fluid level, an ECU issues a warning. If, after the warning has been issued, the fluid level detecting apparatus detects that the fluid level has reached a failsafe mode operation fluid level, which is lower than the minimum fluid level, the switches a normal control mode to a failsafe mode, and performs brake control using the failsafe mode.
